'Yiero...?'
'What's up, Bud?' He asked, looking down at his son.
'I'm bored.' Liir said, reaching his hands upwards. 'Want 'Phaba.'
Then, as if on cue, the door clicked open behind him, Elphaba entered the room with you.
'Well, it seems you're in luck.'
Wordlessly, Elphaba waved at Fiyero before moving to the kitchen counter, opening the cupboard above it, and grabbing the ingredients needed to make coffee.
'Good morning, Fiyero.' You said, pausing by the fridge.
(Elphaba hated to be interrupted in the process of making her coffee.)
'Hi (Y/N), dear.' Fiyero greeted, picking Liir (and his toy monkey) up and walking to Elphaba. 'Fae, Liir has been asking for you.'
'Mama!' Liir burbled enthusiastically, grasping for Elphaba's hair. 'Up!'
'Hello, sweetie.' Elphaba responded, in a half awake tone. 'I'm here now. It's all right.'
'I'll take that for you.' You said, moving forward and then past her to grab her half filled cup and spoon.
'Thanks.' Elphaba replied, handing it over.
She then took Liir from Fiyero and began to rock him up and down gently, causing him to giggle.
As Elphaba rocked Liir, you stepped out of the kitchen and sat down at the table, next to Fiyero.
'How do you look this devastatingly handsome at this hour of the morning?' You asked.
'Just part of my charm.' Fiyero said, winking and pressing a kiss to your forehead.
'You two are insufferable.' Elphaba said.
'Yeah, but you love us.' Fiyero replied.
'I do.'
[NOTES]
1. I'm very much in love with both Elphaba and Fiyero, so obviously writing something for them was a no brainer (reference fully intended.) Also. This is a modern au purely since I don't think they have coffee in Oz???
2. I can feel it in my bones that I've ended something else like that, but it is what it is.
3. Also also I borrowed Liir's name + Elphaba's nickname (Fae) from the books, if you're curious.
Hope you enjoyed! Please vote and comment if you did.
