Summary: You owe Alan a favour due to an event in your shared past, and repay him back when you visit Jurassic Park.

You took the phone away from your ear as the ambulance services put you on hold as they began their journey to you. You knelt in down in the dirt and stared patronisingly at Alan.
'Oh Alan. You had to go and get stuck in a rattlesnake burrow and get bitten by the snake that lives in it.'
He rolled onto his back and blinked the sand out of his eyes blearily.
'Dr. Grant. Sounds good, doesn't it (y/n)?'
'Yes, yes it does Alan. Now let me get you out of this damn hole before the snake comes back.'
You placed your hand under his back and lifted him out of the sand. He groaned in pain.
'Sorry. Now whereabouts did it bite you?'
Alan shakily pointed to the bottom of his right leg. You rolled up the bottom of his pant leg to see bite marks that were losing a lot of blood onto the sand.
Oh dear. Perhaps I shouldn't have moved him.
'All right now we need to let your leg bleed for a bit before I can put it in a splint.'
- 30 minutes pass -
You scanned the surrounding desert for anything that you could be made into a splint.
Damn it (y/n)! Think! He's at risk of dying if you don't do anything. There's a pile of sticks over there. Go shuffle through those, and see what you can use.
You wandered over to the sticks and looked for two that you could possibly use as the sides of a splint. Your eyes landed on two sticking up by a bush. Checking for snakes you reached for them. Success!
Carrying the sticks back over to Alan's body you pulled the roll of bandages from your back pocket and dropped back to the ground.
You rolled his pants leg all the way up, to his knee and began to wind the bandage around his leg.
- 10 minutes pass -
You wiped the sweat from your brow and sat up, just as the phone that you'd abandoned besides you began to ring. You hurriedly grabbed it. A voice came through the receiving end of the speaker. It was the man from the hospital.
'We are on our way now, please stand by.'
'You hear that Alan, they're on their way. You'll be getting help soon.'
'Okay. Can you tell me when they get here (y/n)? I'm afraid I can't see out of my eyes anymore.'
'Will do.'
- 5 minutes pass-
The walk to the helicopter was luckily not very long, and as a result of this didn't hurt Alan as much as it could have. (y/n) was very grateful for this. The man in the helicopter base stepped onto the ground and grabbed Alan out of (y/n)'s arms.
