Another fighter came to my door asking to be healed. I sighed, "Where do you even get these?" I can use magic to heal but to have these fighters come here without Noxus attacking Ionia is a little odd. "You mean you never asked the others where they get their injuries?" I shook my head, "No. I just know they need help." He raised a brow, "What if they try to hurt you?" I looked at him, "I can handle myself. I'm not helpless." He nodded, "Well, thanks for tending to my injuries. What should I call you?" I sighed and healed his wounds, "Crystal." He smiled, "That's a nice name." I smiled and finished with his wounds and he left. Among all of the injured people, he was the one who came back frequently with worse wounds which makes me wonder where he goes. After a few days he didn't come back, "Was he killed?" The rest of the day, I tended to the spirit that lingered and they bounced around happily. I smiled and went to the lake and removed my clothes, taking a dip. I never really went to the village because people there don't like the Vastaya. Yes, I am a Vastayan. I always wore a hood if I do go to the village or when I have these visitors to hide my ears. I sighed and decided to go further into the lake, the water glowing a bright neon blue. This is the beauty of the forest in Ionia. The innate beauty of magic yet underlying in that gentleness and beauty, lies its power and capacity for destruction as well. I sighed and started randomly tracing the water, the movement I made, left marks in the water before it slowly reverted. I giggled but gasped when someone spoke, "Hey!" I turned and covered myself and there a man stood. He was buff and had a coat. Pretty tall too. I sunk my body, "May I help you?" I asked and his eyes widened, "You're Vastaya?" Shit, right, my ears. Then I noticed his face wasn't furious but it was curious. The fireflies then started moving around him then I noticed, he was like me! "Y-you're vastaya too?" He nodded. "Are you familiar with the healer around here called Crystal?"
"I'm Crystal." His eyebrows raised, "Get out of the water, I'd like to talk." I nodded but waited for him to turn around. He did and I smiled that I didn't need to tell him. At least he respects women, not a lot of men do that without having to be told. I dried myself and got dressed. "Let's talk in my cabin." I passed him, spared him a glance and he didn't seem hostile. He looked relaxed actually. We entered my home and I brewed some tea. "Take a seat. What did you want to talk about?" I brought some biscuits to the table and sat across him. "Is it true that you heal people that just come to your door?" I sighed, "Yes. Not that many people come since I live in the woods. Most people don't go to the woods. Too many rumors about people not coming back." He then frowned, "So you live alone?" I stood to pour the tea, "Well, yes. But the beauty of the forest is enough to keep me company, especially the spirits." He looked around. "So you can see them?" I frowned, "You can't? I thought Vastayans could naturally see spirits." He crossed his arms, "I'm only half." I raised an eyebrow, "Regardless, still vastaya. Even some humans can see them. Maybe because you yourself isn't in... high spirits." His eyes widened. "Have people judged you for being a half-breed?" He looked away. "Well, guess what - I am too." His head snapped to look at me. "My father was Vastaya. Mom was a human born with magic. Father died fighting for Xayah and Rakan's cause. Mom died during the Noxian invasion so I'm left here. It was a long time ago so I'm used to being alone. Enough about that.. what did you really want from a healer like me?" He reluctantly took a biscuit, "The bastard that keeps challenging me returns as if he never received any of the beatings I gave. Once I was fed up, I decided to lock him up and interrogate him. Not many healers heal like you do." I shrugged, "So what exactly do you want from me." He shook his head, "Just wanted to see what you can do. Can you heal this?" He removed his coat and had a large gash. I stood up and examined his wounds. "He managed to land a hit on me." I hummed and lightly hovered my fingertips along the gash. "Alright. Let me get that clean first." I took a clean cloth and dampened it with water from the lake. The water from the lake was purified and even if you put something dirty in it, it will cleanse it.
