Outlanders' village. I know. Not the best name for a village. I didn't name it. Ask the one who actually did. It's a small village in between Noxus and Demacia. This is where I grew up but among my people, I have been to other places. Gained knowledge about other countries and their history. The most interesting one was the fallen empire of Shurima. No one can really say how it fell unless you were from Shurima. The gods and.. royalties? Of Shurima were nowhere to be found. Piltover and Zaun on the other hand, had more technological advancement. They had guns and even use magic to enhance their weapons. I met some people but some of them aren't nice. Ionia was the most beautiful place I've ever been to. The magic and spirits just resonating with the land and coexisting with the people. I wanted to move there but I'm fine here. "Minerva!" I turned to the person who called out. "Kamali. What can I do for you?" She smiled, "Do you mind calling the kids for me? They never listen to me but when you tell them what to do, they follow like little soldiers." I chuckled. Kamali was a babysitter for my brother, Afton's kids. "Just give it time. They'll warm up to you." She smiled and I headed to the fields where they would be playing. The crops were getting taller, we should start cutting some of them just to for safety. I heard giggles and I headed there. "Mako? Lina?" I called out, "We're here, auntie!" I saw them poking at the scarecrow, "What are you two doing to that poor scarecrow?" They giggled, "Just showing it who's boss!" I placed a hand on my hip, "Really? What if that's fiddlesticks?" They rolled their eyes, "We know he's just a fable! Just to make us go to sleep early!" Well, they're right but seeing the world, I wouldn't be surprised if Fiddlesticks did exist once upon a time. "Well, even so, you should leave the scarecrow and let it do it's job." They climbed on the scarecrow and I sighed, "Kamali and I will prepare your favorite food for dinner." They cheered, "But only if you get down from there and get home." They immediately came back down and ran past me. I shook my head and turned but I spared a glance at the scarecrow. I wasn't going to lie, it was spooky. I stood there and it felt like it was staring at me. I heard a crow and it landed right on the scarecrow which made me feel like was luring me in. I sighed and shook my head then went ahead and decided not to linger anymore. "Minerva, you alright?" I looked at Kamali and she had a worried gaze, "Yea, come on." I nodded and we went inside the house. "Auntie, do you know when dad will come home?" I sighed, "I'm not sure either but he should be home soon." Most people in Rosemary village were from different countries that wanted to leave the harsh rule of their lands. Freljordians, Demacians and Noxians alike. We didn't care about our backgrounds, all we care about is that we wanted to live in peace. My brother was called in Noxus for a favor he owed an old friend.

Nightfall came and the kids were asleep. "So how, are you really?" I sighed, "Uneasy. Afton and the others should've been back a few days ago. Something's not right." She sighed, "Yeah, my father's with them and I can't help get the feeling that something happened to them. No letters or even messengers. Just... nothing." I sighed and leaned back on the chair, "You were from Noxus, right?" I nodded, "You're from Freljord, aren't you?" She nodded, "What did you do in exactly?" I closed my eyes, "Gathering information, interrogate people... in cruel ways. Torturing them if necessary. Things I'm not proud of.. what about you?" It was actually a lie. I didn't regret killing or torturing those people. In fact I enjoyed it.. but I'm not going to tell anyone that. I'm trying to change that. She sighed, "I was with Warmother Sejuani. She banished me for not being able to kill for our tribe. Warmother Ashe would've taken me in but... I didn't want to be in freljord anymore." I nodded, "Who did she want you to kill?" She gave a pained smile, "Fellow tribesmen. Our clan was at the risk of starvation so she wanted to kill the "weak" ones to reduce the population." I scoffed, "No place for the weak kind of thing." She nodded, "Yeah." I shook my head, "Le Blanc and Swain were always watching me do whatever they had me to do. Make sure I actually got the information from the so called subject the first few times they made me interrogate someone." She frowned, "So how did you leave?" I shrugged, "When Swain's hand was cut off... Ionian fighters are quite something else." I took a sip of water and stood up, "Well, we should go to bed." I went to blow the candles and laid on the couch. I started drifting off and then everything went black.
