Izuku beamed a smile as he admired the beautiful Christmas tree, planted in the corner of the Livingroom. It was white, with silver ornaments hanging in it. It looked absolutely majestic. He turned, plopping down on the sofa while Katsuki approached him with mugs delicious hot chocolate.
"Alright." Katsuki stated, setting down the two cups as he took a seat next to the greenette. The crackling of the fire, illuminating the room from the fireplace was the only thing heard for a few seconds while Bakugou took a sip of his warm beverage. "Time for gifts." The blonde clapped his hands, approaching the tree. Izuku chuckled as he watched the blonde bend over, pushing aside a few colorful boxes while mumbling a few names.
"You bought a lot of gifts this year, hm?" Izuku noticed, watching as the blonde set two boxes aside.
"Yeah." Katsuki groaned, standing up with a total of three boxes. "Most of them are for my folks, but some are for my friends. Which reminds me, you've never met them... I'll have to introduce you guys." The blonde chuckled, taking a seat. Midoriya looked down to the pile of boxes, one being bigger than the rest. It was about the size of a shoebox, while the second one was the size of a box of cookies. The other one was very small and shaped in a rectangle form. It was flat, too. So, it was hard for Midoriya to guess what it was.
"Those are all mine?" The greenette asked, pointing to the stack of neatly wrapped boxes on the table. Katsuki nodded, taking another sip of his hot chocolate. "Hey, wait up. You got me so much- It's not fair. All I got you was this." Izuku spoke, standing up to pick up a box from under the tree. It wasn't hard to find it, since Midoriya's only gift was for Katsuki. It was also wrapped very roughly, since Izuku had no experience wrapping gifts. That's why he usually gave gifts in a gesture. That's why he paid his friends a free pizza for Christmas. But Katsuki was different and didn't deserve just a pizza. That's why Izuku had went out to buy him something, despite the fact that his budget was still tight.
"You didn't have to get me anything, dumbass. You staying here is enough. I like having you around." Katsuki spoke, grabbing the box Izuku was handing him. He watched as a sad smile took place on freckled features and Izuku sat down again.
"I know. But you've been so kind to me ever since you met me. I wanted to repay you for how much you've respected me. I've become great friends with you, and I thought you deserved something better than just a free pizza." Izuku chuckled, beaming a smile at the end. Bakugou's heart ached at how Izuku called them friends, ignoring the kisses they had shared on their last date.
"Yeah. Alright, I'll open yours first, then." He spoke, grabbing onto a rough corner. He ripped upward, revealing a familiar box he recalled throwing out a few weeks prior. A cereal box. He smiled wide, confused as he pulled it out. "Thanks." He joked, earning a string of adorable giggles from the shorter man.
"Oh, come on, open it! I couldn't find a good box." Izuku chuckled, watching as Bakugou opened the box. He pulled out something black and soft, revealing a nice hoodie. The word FUCK was written in white, matching the cords for the hood. Bakugou laughed, throwing his head back at the nice gift.
"Damn, thanks. Where did you get this?" Katsuki chuckled, setting it down on his lap. He loved it. It was a bit large, which meant it would fit him perfectly.
"I bought it online. I thought you'd really like it... I hear you use that word a lot when I'm not around. Whether it's when you stub your toe, or you just mumble to yourself when you make a mistake while cooking. I thought it would suit you. Do you like it?" Izuku muttered, paying attention to Katsuki's expressions.
"I fucking love it. Fuck." Bakugou chuckled, looking over to a happy face. "Alright, open yours now." Katsuki spoke, setting the sweatshirt aside to hand Midoriya the largest box. It was the cheapest one, yet the one he was sure Midoriya would love it. He watched as Izuku carefully unwrapped the gift, dropping the wrapping paper on the floor before flipping open the white box. A large smile made dimples pop as Izuku pulled out a large Squishmallow, in the form of a dog.
