Long ago, there lived a powerful kingdom named Lendorr. It was a rich, beautiful kingdom that conquered a vast amount of land and a large population of people.
This story is set on the reign of the 50th king of Lendorr, King Alexander Hawthorne. He was a highly respected man who inherited the royal crown at the age of 32. He was known to be kind, loving and overall a great king.
But all things changed when he got married to Angelique Hawthorne. He married Angelique when she was at the age of 20, and she conceived her first child at the age of 26.
Their marriage was lasting and reliable, even maidens across the land prayed to have a marriage that was similar to theirs. But it all changed after their last child was born.
King Alexander left the kingdom to discuss alliance matters with the Speldian Kingdom. On his way to the kingdom, he was ambushed and killed by a group of assassin's from an unknown kingdom. The news spread worldwide. "Lendorr has lost its sovereign?" "How can the number 1 kingdom lose its king?"
While many people were filled with never ending questions, Queen Angelique, Prince Nathaniel and Prince Jonathan of Lendorr's hearts were shattered. The princes' father had died, the queen's husband had passed. The people of Lendorr wanted revenge on the assassins, but nobody knew who sent the assassins.
Three months after the assassination, a funeral was held for the king, and Queen Angelique took to the throne to rule over the Kingdom of Lendorr.
