"And she is so perfect. It is indescribable. How she holds herself as a woman of high status. Her long, slick hair flowing in the wind, I just can't find any word in the English dilect that I could perfectly label this woman with" Jonathan beamed.
"He has been speaking of Yumi for the past three hours" Nathaniel said to Archer, causing him to stiffle a giggle.
"If you could fall head over heels for some like I did, you'd understand" Jonathan interjected in an attempt to defend himself.
"Oh no, I fully understand. Why else would I have married Archer?" Nathaniel smirked.
"Ew. Do not ever spew those cheesy words ever again" Archer said.
"I agree. This is too much to handle" Brandon chuckled. "So, when are you going to marry her, Jonathan?"
"If I could, I would marry her immediately. She must first speak to her family about me meeting with them. If they do agree, then I'll have to persuade her father to allow me to marry her. It's Lendorr tradition"
"Well I am very happy for you, Jonathan. You are finally going to marry, isn't it exciting?" Archer said in excitement for a new wedding on the horizon.
"It is. But I'm afraid that she does not love me back. I did confess to her yesterday but she steered away from the topic by pointing out a bird we saw" Jonathan admitted.
"Doesn't that sound familiar?" Nathaniel hummed, obviously referring to what happened between him and Archer.
"Your majesty," Damian interrupted the family by entering the lounge room and saying, "Mr and Mrs Yoshimura have arrived at the palace, along side Ms Yumi Yoshimura"
"What?! They are here already?" Jonathan became frantic.
"Calm down, brother. Panicking won't help. Just calmly speak to them like you would to any person" Brandon adviced as he gave Jonathan a light pat on the back.
"You are right. Well, I should meet with the Yoshimuras now" the King said as he stood up and ushered his family to prepare for the feast that they'll be having later.

The atmosphere was jarring and awkward. Mrs Yoshimura had a sweet and loving tone toward Jonathan, thanking him for taking interest in her daughter, but Mr Yoshimura was the complete opposite.
Mr Yoshimura then said something to Yumi in a foreign language as they all sat down in the dining room, waiting for their feast. Yumi replied to her father in that same foreign language.
"My father is not able to speak English as well as I do so he has asked me to translate a few questions for him" Yumi explained.
"No issue at all" Jonathan said, glancing at his brothers and Archer.
Then, Mr Yoshimura said something to Jonathan, which Yumi translated to: 'How much money will you be paying for my daughter's dowry?'
Jonathan was taken aback by the question but before he could answer, Mr Yoshimura added something, which translated to: 'See, my daughter is a precious jewel, much like a diamond, which costs good fortune. So I demand ¥40 million in Lendorrian currency, with a few livestock such as 30 cows'
Everyone at the table had their mouths wide open. Yes, Yumi would arguably be worth that much, but in Lendorrian currency, that would be 800 million Lens.
"Uhh, Mr Yoshimura that is a very large sum for just a dowry" Jonathan said, feeling anxious.
Mr Yoshimura then said: 'If it is too difficult even for you, then I will gladly take my daughter back to Kiyoko where she will be marrying the prince.'
"Uh, Mr Yoshimura, why don't we rethink the demanding amount? A large sum like that isn't something you would have just laying around" Archer entered, trying to ease the situation.
Mrs Yoshimura on the other hand was great at English, so she said, "I am so sorry for my husband's absence of manners. We will try to rethink the dowry amount and communicate with you all once more" and she stood up and bowed to the royal family. Mr Yoshimura on the other hand was not pleased in the slightest. He stood up, and uttered the only English word he heard learned: 'no'.
To say that this shocked everyone was a complete understatement.
The Head of the Yoshimura family was a difficult man to reason with. He had his mind set on the dowry amount. He then spoke to the Yoshimura women in a demanding voice, to which they bowed to and prepared to leave.
