*Cassidy POV*"Excuse me, Miss?"
How did I get myself mixed up in something like this, again? I didn't even put up a fight, I silently walked to the car, and I willingly got in.
I know why, I know why I did that. If I put up a fight, who knows what would've happened, all I know was that I needed to keep Charlotte safe, and that meant getting in the car.
"Cassidy?"
I've been staring at the back of the headrest for almost ninety percent of the ride, since we left the park, where I saw Dayana and Lucas, looking for me. I haven't said a word, I haven't moved my eyes from the black leather interior, for far too long.
"Aye, Cassidy?"
I don't know where we went, or how far we've drove, I just know it was long enough to get Charlotte fussy for lunch, and I ended up giving her a bottle in the back seat, along with a few snacks.
The man said we couldn't stop at a rest stop for me to change her diaper, because 'we were on a tight schedule,' so I somehow managed to do it all back here, with the help of Mateo. His help, playing a video of Peppa Pig on his phone, to stop her from crying because he said it was getting annoying.
"What do we do? Should I poke her?"
"No, Mateo! She's in fucking shock right now!"
I flinch as I feel a hand touch my shoulder, my eyes whip to the left of me, just in time to see the gentleman grab Mateo by the throat and slam him against the drivers door.
"What did I fucking say?" His face is red with anger, leaving a few veins on his neck to bulge out, his slender hand grows white from the tension, but his eyes bounce to me.
His blue eyes lock on to mine, and his expression softens greatly. I can't tell what the look is, it could be pity, or guilt, but nonetheless, he lets go of Mateo, and runs a hand through his light brown hair, something he's been doing a lot of, as the gel is no longer keeping it in one place.
"Let's get you two inside, okay?" His voice is soft, like he almost didn't choke out his partner in crime.
I nod my head lightly as I slowly slide myself out of the tall vehicle, with Charlotte tightly in my grasp. She fell asleep after eating her snacks, and I'm almost scared for her to wake up, because I don't know if I want her to see what we're about to walk into.
"I'll get someone to make us dinner." Mateos dark brown eyes lock on mine, but only for a second before he walks around the all black SUV, leaving the man and I alone.
"Before we go in there, I have to warn you.. Be careful with what you say." Is all the man says before he leaves my side, but I follow behind him.
As I round the car, not wanting to be left behind in an unfamiliar place, I'm met with large honey wood doors, that are around eight feet tall. A large, cream colour mansion, as tall as I can see, is almost shocking to me. I guess I expected a warehouse, not a home with large glass windows, and a fountain in the drive way.
Taking a look, left and then right, expensive cars and motorcycles fill the driveway, but also the front lawn. I gulp heavily, hoping these all belong to the man in front of me, and not a hundred different people are inside.
"Stay close." Nodding, I almost want to grab the sleeve of his suit jacket, just so I really don't lose him.
As we walk through the large wooden doors, loud voices and screams echo as my shoes hit hardwood floors. We walk down a large hallway, filled with expensive paintings, until the man in front of me stops, so I stop as well.
