Rose POV

Smiling, I let my hand slide over the top rope in the ring as I walked around it. It was a more or less sad smile. Because I missed it very much to spend my time in the square circle. Maybe soon I could do again what had always fascinated me. But I needed more time. Dr. Brunner had said at least a year.

I sighed as I climbed onto the ropes in the corner of the ring to sit down. My eyes wandered around. Time passed so quickly. Now it was only a week until the wedding. But that also meant that it had been 6 months since the surgery. And if it had been up to the first doctors, I wouldn't be here now.

How one person, one very, very stubborn person, can change... save... a whole life.... I had experienced myself and now I was allowed to marry this person. My guardian angel, who had always believed in my strength. Even if it sometimes scared him to death. Not that he would ever admit that.

"Do you miss it?" asked Seth when he suddenly appeared in the ring.

"You have no idea... But if I'm lucky, then I can start training again in half a year. And then I can finally put you back in your place when you get cocky." I grinned at him.

"Keep dreaming... I only ever put up with that because I didn't want to hurt you," he replied.

"Yeah right.... That's why you didn't want me to train with Roman. You were so afraid he would hurt me," I said.

Flashback

With quick steps I made my way to the ring, knowing that Seth was training with Roman for their match. That was good, because I needed help to prepare for my big match with Charlotte.

"Hi guys. How's it going?" I asked as I stood on the ring apron.

"Pretty good. Just finished." replied Seth.

"Great. I need help testing a new move. And I'd really appreciate it if you could help me, Roman." I said, looking at the big man in front of me.

"What, but why do you want to train with him? That's too risky. Roman is pretty strong. I'll help you." said Seth, a little horrified.

"You can't. I want Roman to try to spear me. I can't use you for that, Seth," I replied.

"Rose... I can't do that. Do you want me to split you in half? Seth is right." said Roman immediately.

"Oh please. I can handle it. Besides, you weren't listening to me.... I told you to try spearing me. Try! Trust me, nothing will happen if I do my job right." I explained with a wide, confident grin.

Roman and Seth exchanged a glance. They were still hesitating. This was frustrating. After all, I wasn't a little girl. I knew what I was doing.

"I don't think it's a good idea, Rose." Roman finally said and made his way out of the ring.

"Oh come on! Are you a man or a mouse? You usually tell me to come to you when I need help. And here I am asking for help and you guys are acting like total Machos. You know what? Fine... then I won't win the championship," I grumbled.

"Rose, don't be like that. I just don't want you to get hurt. Is that so bad?" asked Seth as he grabbed my hand.

"No... But it's part of the job. And I know for a fact that Roman would be willing to try if you weren't acting like a big, overprotective brother," I said.

"I'm sorry. You're right. But know that you'll get an extra kick in the ass if something goes wrong." he replied surrendered after a few seconds.

"I hope you know what you're doing..." said Roman as he got into position.

He charged at me with a run, but didn't catch me because I just hopped over him like a bunny rabbit. Just as I had planned. I rolled off and grinned all over my face as I looked into the astonished faces of the two men.

"See? I knew you wouldn't catch me." I giggled, more than pleased with myself.

Even now, so many years later, I still had to laugh about it. Their faces had been so amazed. It brought back so many other memories.

"What's the matter? Do you have a headache?" suddenly Seth asked me.

I hadn't realized how I was rubbing my forehead.

"A little bit, but that's just because of the stress about the wedding. Don't worry about it. And most importantly...don't tell Roman. I don't want him to get freaked out over nothing." I quickly replied and then hopped off the ropes.

A little too fast, because I felt a little dizzy. I held on tight and hoped that Seth hadn't seen it. That was the last thing I needed right now. I was going to marry the love of my life. There was only a week left. Even though I had to admit that I was worried.

Roman POV

"All right. I'll see you later." I said to the photographer as I made my way back to the locker room.

But then I saw Seth coming towards me. He had a very worried look on his face. I frowned as he stood in front of me and hesitated for a moment.

"We need to talk." he finally said.
