An hour later...

With a leg over the other, Theo sips her water tenderly ruffling Orion's feathers. The misfit group of five, linger deep in Paris' exclusive lounge toasting once more to the lovely couple. A charming flamboyant man with decorative leather harness that matches his silver hair grins, "so Belladonna, we've heard so much about you except how you ended up meeting our Scarlett," he comments.

Theodora snickers fondly next to Orion, "well Rhys, this wretched woman was the start of the Belladonna you know of today. Before she found me, I was doing petty thieving just to survive. I quite remember slipping her wallet into my hands only for her to track me down. She was well seasoned and brilliantly knowledgeable. With that she molded the Goddess of persuasive seduction, mentored the Queen of Thievery and widened my horizons for more. We ran the streets, created the Underworld and then we flourished. She pushed me into the hands of Orion's brother, Onyx, who had polished my skills until I went solo. I sent Orion's charming self her way and the rest is history," she explains happily.

Another man with piercing blue eyes smiles, "she had mentioned you're into weaponry. We've seen your work around the world," he muses over the lid of his glass.

Theo nods, "well Calum, my passions led to the spiraling world that hold the grasps of predominant leaders. Several of my companies including Arcane Shipping industries thrive through the black market dealings though the high level stresses can be a bit daunting," she expresses.

Letty raises a brow leaning closer, "thinking about retiring?"

Theo shrugs, "I've been imagining a different future that is all," she replies.

Scarlett's breath hitches, "has the great Belladonna finally found a mate?"

Teddy shakes her head, "one of my best friend's have granted me guardianship over a little boy that had sparked a new way of thinking," she explains, "I want to settle down and enjoy what I have."

Letty smiles, "why can't you have babies and be happily married? I've done it," she comments.

Arcane chortles, "never thought I'd see the day you had settled down," she teases.

Crain flickers over her shoulder at her wife, "never thought so either. It's still an image of a dream I don't think I'm awake for but all in all if someone could find something through the rubble of my black heart then I know someone will do so with you," she returns.

Theo smiles, "we will see," she banters playfully.

Everly's phone rings and soon Scarlett was pulled to the phone. Her scowl was vicious and yet her face fell in confusion. She rolls her eyes and ends the call abruptly.

"Anything amiss?" Theo asks curiously.

Letty narrows her eyes contemplating her options before she stood, "lets get some fresh air," she suggests.

Not too long after they had left the lounge, Letty led her through the maze of familiar stomping grounds. The pair laughed their way down the desecrated stairs of the abandoned train station reminiscing about the old times. Booths scattering the platform selling illegal findings blooming with business. Familiar faces acknowledge the pair offering deals of the decades.

Letty's arm intertwines with hers, "I'm riddled with desperation to know why someone out there is reaching for me in ties to you," she murmurs low in her throat as the Underworld thrums with activity.

Theodora tilt her head, "why would anyone have to?"

Scarlett lifts a brow, "indeed why? So tell me what sort of trouble are you in to have a former KGB assassin on your heels?"

"I'm not sure," Theo answers shortly, "I kept low and under the radar. Actually cleaned up my loose ends and separated work from pleasure," she answers.

"About a couple of months ago, I was approached by a woman presenting the perfect heist for something thrilling but not fitting the standards of the Aureolus Lillies," Letty starts shuffling her deeper into the market, "of course we didn't take the offer but she had adamantly presented more and more heists. We weren't one for hire so I dismissed every one until she had asked me about Belladonna," she gulps hesitantly.

"Belladonna? Why would someone reach this part of my past or have even heard of such?" Theo questions curiously.

Scarlett shakes her head, "well, we weren't exactly repressing back then but my contact who I was on the phone with had mentioned that the word on the street is someone's sifting for any information about you," she answers.

Arcane surveys the Underworld, "a neutral place to be," she murmurs.

"Exactly why we are here," Letty whispers letting Arcane out of her grasps, "hide yourself, we are confronting this but mind your curious heart. Don't go chasing after her, I don't want to play rescue tonight," she quips playfully before stalking off.

Theo melted into the dark shadows draping her hood on. Her eyes vividly straining through the platform riddled with suspicious activity as she follows Letty's every move. Her friend comes upon the old corner booth practically fitted into the brick walls for her permanent residence. The infamous stall as old as the Underworld's establishment. Then, a hooded black figure slinking her way through the crowd to sidle next to Letty. Theo attempted to move but Letty's hand waves her off. She watches from the distance still bothered for a peek at the woman's face that was concealed by a balaclava. She awaits shifting in every direction but still no prevail of identity.

As quick as she came, the woman had left filing into the crowds before Theo had decided to trail the woman. She took a different path meeting at the exit of the abandoned train station waiting for the woman.

Once her eyes had landed on the woman keeping to the shadows, Belladonna narrows her eyes taking in the details of the woman's sleek black leather snugged tightly to her subtle curves. A small detail on the woman's belt buckle of an hour glass shape had a familiarity of her past that made her hiss. The mark of the elusive creation of black widows perfected by the Red Room. Chills ran down her spine as she kept her distance onto the empty streets.

For an hour of doubling back over a trail by instincts engraved into red room assassins, Theo took to the roofs hovering over the woman. A text on her cell vibrates from Letty who scolded and warned her relentlessly. She pocketed the cell ignoring the pulses of Letty's ramble before she peers over the edge once more. Her brows scrunch in confusion as she lost her track on the woman. Closing her eyes, she heard the light steps behind her. She stares out into the city of Paris amused and composed, "you're foolish to think that pointing a pair of guns at me that you'll be able to walk away from this unscathed," she purrs over her shoulder.
