"Hey mom"
"Morning sweetheart"
"Is it okay if y/n stays over today?"
"Who's y/n?"
"Oh she's just a friend from school"
"Is she a new friend" Scarlett asks
"Yeah, she moved here around five weeks ago . She used to live in England I think"
"Oh wel, that's cool. Is she staying for dinner?"
"I'll ask her. I was actually wanting to ask her if she wanted to stay the night if that's okay with you?"
"Of course honey" Scarlett smiles
"Thanks mom, I have to go to school now. Bye!"
"Bye have a great day!"

"Mom we're home!"
You hear footsteps walk towards you and see a women who you assume was roses mom walk up to you.
"Hi honey, how was school?" She asks while hugging rose
"It was pretty good" rose says
"Happy its weekend tho"
Scarlett chuckles
"Same" she says
Scarlett looks at you, seeing how nervous you look. You're fidgeting with your hands and look down.
"You must be y/n?" She asks very softly
You look up from the floor and look at rose with big eyes. She smiles at you. You look at the women and nod. She sees you swallow a lump down your throat
"I'm Scarlett. It's very nice to meet you"
You smile at her
"Would you like to stay for dinner honey?"
You look at her
You again don't speak but nod slowly
"Great! I'm going to let you two be right now. I'll call you when dinner is ready"
"Thanks mom" rose says as she walks away. You follow her.
Scarlett frowns at you, not being able to figure you out.

"Are you okay?"
"Yeah? Why?" You chuckle
"Oh just- you got all quiet downstairs"
Your smile drops
"I'm sorry" you mumble
"No that's okay. I just wanted to know if you're okay?"
"I uh- i-"
"You don't have to say anything you don't want to say y/n/n. But you can talk to me"
"Do you think I could stay her for the night?" You ask changing the subject
"Yes!! I wanted to ask you that!" Rose says over exited
You smile at her.
"Y/n do you understand anything about chemistry ?"
"Yeah? You don't?" You chuckle
"No" she mumbles embarrassing but laughing
"I'll help you. Do you have your books?"
"Yeah I just don't know how-"
"Girls dinner!" Is yelled from downstairs.
Rose sees you flinch slightly and tense up.
"Hey y/n?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you okay? Just relax"
"I love you too rose. Thank you" you say
She smiles at you and slowly takes your hand leading you downstairs.

You sit down at the dining table eating quietly
"Do you want some more sweetheart?" You hear Scarlett ask
You feel rose tap on your shoulder. You look at her confused and then at Scarlett who's waiting for you to answer
"Oh You where talking to me?" You ask smiling slightly
She smiles
"Yeah"
"Oh sorry, uh no thank you. I'm good" you say smiling and looking her in the eye for the first time.
"Are you sure honey? You barely ate anything"
"Im sure I had a big lunch" you say shrugging
"Oh okay, if you-" Scarlett is cut of by rose
"What are you talking about y/n? You didn't have lunch"
You look at her
You don't say anything feeling four eyes looking at you.
"I'm just not hungry" you mumble
Scarlett frowns out of worry.
"That's alright honey" Scarlett says

"Hey didn't you get back your math test today?" Scarlett continues
"Oh yeah! I got an B+!" Rose says exited
"Rose! I'm so proud of you"
She smiles exited
"Yeah sure but y/n has to beat me in everything, so she decided to get an A+"
"An A+ for math?" Scarlett asks proudly
You look up afraid waiting for her response. You slowly nod
"That's so good honey. I'm so proud of you"
While having eyes contact with you Scarlett notices a twinkle of happiness form in your eyes as you try to suppress your smile
"Thank you" you say quietly.

You where helping doing the dishes when suddenly you feel the glass you are holding slip out of your hand and it breaks in pieces on the ground. The room is silent and you feel Scarlett and rose look at you.
"I-I'm s-so sorry. I'm sorry I-il clean it. I'm sorry" you say picking up the pieces of glass with your bare hands
"Y/n chill, it's fine-"
"y/n don't touch that it's sharp" Scarlett cuts of rose.
She walks towards you making you flinch.
You look up in fear with tears streaming down your cheeks
"Are you crying?" Rose asks in disbelief
"Y/n honey, it's no big deal okay? It's okay, I promise" Scarlett assures you
"Y-yeah i- I don't- I'm sorry" you stutter crying.
"Hey come here"
Rose walks up to you and holds you and you cry in her arms. She softly holds your head keeping you close to her.
You slowly separate and she holds you
"It's okay y/n. Are you okay?"
She asks
"Yeah"
"Yeah?" She asks sweetly
You nod
"Alright then" she says before kissing you making you relax a bit.
After you part you both realize Scarlett is still next to you
She smirks at the both of you.

"R-right. U-Uhm-" Rose stutters
"I am so proud of you girls" she says
You feel your cheeks go red.
"So y/n here isn't just a friend now is she?"
She looks at you. You shake your head slowly looking down
"I-is that okay?" Rose asks
"That is so more than okay honey" she says hugging her daughter.
"It is?" You ask confused
They both look at you

"Yeah of course why?" Scarlett asks
"O-oh wel- I don't know- m-my mother w-would like- literally kill me if she'd find out" you mumble shrugging
"Oh I'm sure it would be fine" rose says
"Don't be scared y/n" she continues
"No I mean- you don't know her" you tell her
"Wait are you serious?"
She aks concerned
"She's not a very nice person rose" you mumble
Scarlett looks at you
"Could you tell me how exactly she isn't very nice"
"I'm not supposed to" you mumble
"But you trust us right?" Scarlett asks
"Yeah" you say
"I mean- she just gets drunk a lot. It's not even her fault it's just the alcohol. She just overreacts sometimes"
"O-Overreacts?" Rose mumbles
"She- w-we had to move from England because people accused her for mental and physical child abuse." You say
"She hurst you?" Rose asks worried
You nod slowly
"Gosh" she mumbles hugging you again as a few tears drop down to the ground.
"Is it okay if you stay with us here for a while? Until we get things sorted out"
"P-please just- can it wait until March? I'll be 18 then. After that I can just go away from home. I don't want my mom to  get into trouble"
She looks at you and smiles slightly
"I'll see okay? Let's just let it all sink in okay?" She asks you
"Thank you Scarlett"
You thank her
She opens her arms and you walk in her arms and she hugs you. You melt into her arms and she feels it. She smiles and feels warm inside being able to give you the love you lacked of your whole life.
