The Following Day:

Arnold's P.O.V.

Well, it's 6:25 am and I need to get to work! My shift's already started and I can't afford to make a bad impression on Miss Pataki.

So I rushed through everything and ran straight to work, looking like a mess. As I arrived, I see that Helga looks like a mess as well.

"Mr. Shortman, you are late." Helga said coldly.

"Sorry Miss Pataki. I swear, it won't happen again."

"Darn right it won't. Now get to work!" Helga was exactly like how Gerald described her, but I know deep down in my heart that she isn't all that bad. And I will continue to be nice to her until she finally accepts me.

Helga's P.O.V.

Ugh! I can't believe that I was so close to being late for work! It's a good thing that I came in the last minute right before Arnold did. I hope he didn't notice that I was almost late. I don't want him to talk back to me if I start nagging at him, but he respects and obeys everything I say. Maybe I got this boss thing down.

So now, my plan for the day is to check up on our fellow company, our alliance, Lorenzo's Electrons LTD. It was a company to produce new gadgets and devices to produce and help families everywhere with their everyday needs.

So, I had to prepare myself and get everything ready for later.

Arnold's P.O.V.

"Football Head! Report to my office." I hear Helga's voice over the P.A. system. I walk by to her office, and notice people staring and trying to hold in their laughs.

"I'm here, Miss Pataki." I said as I entered her office. "Was it necessary for you to call out 'Football Head' instead of addressing me professionally by my real name?" I asked, a little bit worried if she's going to rage.

"I would've done that, Football Head, but I thought it would be MORE amusing if I did that instead." Helga replied. I felt myself blushing a little bit.

"Well, back to why I called you here, you know how we are working with Lorenzo's company?" Helga said. I nodded in response.

"Well, today, Lorenzo has an appointment with Bob. So now, I am going to take over for him."

"Are you sure about this?" I asked, feeling a little bit uncertain about this.

"Yes I am, Arnoldo. Let's get going!" With that said, Helga got what she needed and left her office. I followed her down to the main floor, and we waited for her limo.

When Miss Pataki entered in the back, I was going to sit beside her, but she stopped me.

"What do you think you're doing?" Miss Pataki asked in confusion.

"I am going to sit beside you. Is that a problem?" I asked in response.

"Yes it is. Now, go sit in the front."

"But Mr. Pataki always let me sit beside-"

"Newsflash, Football Head, I am not my dad. Now, go sit in the front. I have no time for this."

She was right. There was no time. So I slammed her door shut.

"Well, you sure act like him." I muttered once I shut her door.

We didn't talk during the ride at all, but I caught Miss Pataki looking at me a little bit weirdly... Was there something on me?

"You need to change, Football Head." Miss Pataki said, not having any further eye contact with me.

"What do you mean?" I asked back in response.

"Just change." She handed me a bag with a dress t-shirt, black tuxedo pants, with a coat to match, and a tie.

So I changed. But I think Helga was checking me out a few times. I didn't know the limo could suddenly get this hot, even when I'm changing. So whenever I caught Helga staring, I would look back at her with half-lidded eyes, smile, and wink at her. Then she would look away.

"Um, Miss Pataki?" I said when I finished changing.

"Yes?" She asked in response.

"Is it acceptable if I can leave for San Lorenzo in the weekend?" I asked, feeling a little bit of doubt.

"No."

"Pardon?" I didn't think I heard her right.

"Nope. Sorry, Hair Boy, but that's life. We can't afford to lose you. Even for a couple of days, we need you."

"Miss Pataki, Mr. Pataki already planned up for my vacation. He payed for it and everything."

"Well, my so-called father should have took that to notice before making me in charge of you."

Crud. I wanted to go to San Lorenzo. I have planned for the trip for six months. And now, I have to cancel everything. I wanted to visit my parents. They are staying there to help out for the villagers' health needs. They needed medical attention, and they needed my parents more than me.

But after I was born, we moved to Hillwood, New York and we had lots of great family bonding time. It's a sad thing that it didn't last that long... My parents' old associate, Edwuardo came and said that the villagers were in great need.

Then my parents left. For their last mission. They never came back, I got tired after waiting for 9 years. So when I was still in my Grandparents' care, They bought me a ticket to San Lorenzo and I met this beautiful girl on the plane.

That beautiful girl's name was Lila Sawyer. She wanted to be a stewardess when she grew up, but when we were working together to find my parents, she changed her mind and she said that her new dream was to spend the rest of her life with me. But we were 10, and how were we supposed to know about true love anyways?

We broke up after high school, when Lila still wanted to persue her dream of being a stewardess. That, and she wanted to date my cousin, Arnie. He was from country folk, just like her. His parents died a few years ago and he decided to live with my parents because he wanted to be just like them.

I was able to find my parents but I understand that they wanted to stay there so I visit them from time to time. I also visit my still-living grandparents as well. They're doing just fine.

And now, I have to cancel that trip. I have to move my family aside, and think about the big picture in front of me.

Being Helga Pataki's assistant.
