Cassidy's POV
"So how do you think they're doing so far?" Elizabeth asked me. We were blending in the crowds of people, spying on Gregory, and Evan. So far Evan hasn't made a single move. I told him that he needs to be more confident... this isn't going well.
"Not well. Evan hasn't even made a move on him." I say. I was starting to get annoyed, my tone indicated that. I saw Elizabeth frown a little.
"Well he's nervous as crap trying to talk to him. I mean- you would to if you were going to a dance, and holding hands with your crush." I sighed. She just doesn't understand, I could hold hands with anyone just fine, even with her.
"Yeah, and nervousness isn't always going to help you. I learned that all it really does is hold you back from the chances that you might take." I say. Elizabeth grabs my hand. I look at her with an annoyed look, though I barely showed it.
"What are you saying? Do you even know what my brother has been through?" Elizabeth whisper shouted. I look away from her, focusing on where Evan, and Gregory are. It seems like Gregory is taking Evan over to the gymnasium.
"They're moving." I say, as I slowly, but quickly, followed the couple, staying a good distance away from them. Elizabeth followed close behind me, as she held my hand for me to drag her. I didn't mind, it was a little annoying, I liked it though.
"So when do you think Evan will make his move?" Elizabeth asked. I looked at her with a shrug from my shoulders.
"I don't know." I say quietly. Since Evan is a scared little boy, he probably wouldn't even dare to confess without the fear of rejection taking place. Gregory has already taken most of the initiative, he just needs to wait for the right time.
As we were professionally stalking the two, it seemed like they were having a conversation of some sorts. We definitely needed to hear the conversation. I then dragged Elizabeth, dodging and weaving through the dancers, and managed to blend in with the crowd, while not getting seen by Gregory, or Evan.
They then suddenly stopped, and waited in a line, seems like they're getting food. I then heard Gregory speaking, he seemed to be laughing a little.
"...and then they started running around the room, Roxy was screaming at Chica, it got to the point where Roxy threw a chair at Chica. Eventually, Chica gave her back her pin, and everything was chill, for the most part." Gregory said, chuckling. Evan seemed very invested into the story, giggling. I couldn't exactly hear Evan talk (since he talks so quietly) but I could think that he said something nice, as I could see the happy expression on Gregory's face.
"Looks like things are going well..." Though not as much as I would like. Of course, Evan is making good conversation with the boy, but he hasn't made good progress. There was still 2 hours left of this dance, so he has plenty of time on his hands. Me and Elizabeth casually watched as Gregory, and Evan were now the next people to be served. Gregory turned to Evan.
"So, what do you want?" He asked, Evan pointed at a hotdog, and cupcake. Gregory smiled, his cheeks a little red. He asked for what Evan ordered, as the cashier nodded. He handed her the money, and they waited. They made more light hearted conversation, until they got their food. I rolled my eyes 'Generic.' It was a hotdog, and a cupcake.
"Here." Gregory smiled, as he handed Evan his food. The smaller boy grabbed the food gently, like it was a newborn, his face was pink as he seemed to stammer out a thank you. Gregory just chuckled, the two then walked over to the other side of the Gymnasium. It was a less crowded area. We followed them, as they reached sat behind a pillar. Me and Elizabeth hid some garbage cans, the contents smelling... very questionable. I had to restrain myself to not gag or else the two would've heard me.
