Chapter 29

Janay's POV

I went to the supermarket just to buy pampers and formula for Jace but when I saw the burgers and sausages I had this idea of having a lil barbeque for the kids. Then Jaden asked if he could invite over his friends  and I told him  yes. I guess it's going to be a barbeque for our family and friends. Not bad at all I thought to myself.

My aunt and I prepared the food and the drinks, my friends watched the kids in the pool and Jaden was vibing with his friends. It was indeed a great, relaxing evening for everyone.

Everyone left and the kids were asleep. I'm so tired now. Next time I'll do this on a weekend.

I was now in bed scrolling through Tiktok, but I saw that I had a few Instagram notifications and went on it to see what it was. I gained over two hundred followers in couple hours. Weird much...

Jaden tagged me in a post. It's a picture of when we were at the supermarket captioned "all mines." I shake my head. Jaden don't love excitement enuh, so I don't know why him post this much less tag me. 

Stop gwan like yuh no like it.

Of course I do but...Now me have one bagga fass people pon me page. 

It's a lucky thing I archived all of my old pictures and had only two picture up. 

Dem ago see say the man woman look good...Periodt! 

Jaden was in the bathroom and his phone wouldn't stop ringing. As he walked out of the shower, it started ringing again. He looked at it and declined the call.

"Jay it's after 10 who really a call dung yuh phone so much" I asked him.

He sighed "It's Shay's mother" he said sounding annoyed.

"What?!!" I said sitting up in the bed. Because obviously me nah hear right.

"So how me never aware that you've been in contact with her and why yuh nah answer the calls.  It's because I'm here?" I asked him.

"Remember when I told you, I had something to tell you? That was it. She reached out to me about wanting to be in Shay's life and when I went to LA the other day I met with her. I told her however that I would make some arrangements first before I could allow Shay to meet her. I have to prep Shay because she don't know her. I had to talk to you also, because I'm not sure what your reaction would be...It's just a lot. I just want to give her a chance to be in Shay's life because I don't want my daughter growing up and hating me because I kept her away from her mother." he rambled.

I sat there just looking at him.

"Say something" he plead.

"So yuh mean fi tell me say, Yuh been a talk to har, fly out go meet har and me just a know all a dat?" I said to him.

"Babe, I'm really really sorry for not telling you sooner. But..."He said and I cut him off.

"But nothing man, because wah dat fi yuh hide?" I asked him and hiss my teeth.

The phone started to ring again and it was her, so I took it up and use all my strength to sail it right in wall. The screen shattered and I felt a little satisfied because I was pissed!!!  

Jaden just stand there and look at me surprised. 

"Me can't fight yuh fi want Shay have har mother in her life enuh, because me wouldn't want my child's father keep him away from me. A just the way how yuh go bout it. And mek me tell yuh this, try set some boundaries when it comes to she because a hours a night now and Shay is in your care. So she no need fi a call yuh dem hours ya" I said to him and laid back down on the bed.

"And me don't want yuh sleep beside a me either" I said.

As much as I sleep way more comfortable when he's beside me. I just need to be alone tonight.

Jaden's POV

Janay is pissed and I understand. I didn't even go into every details and she mash up my phone. I couldn't even argue with her because I know I was wrong. She kicked me out of the room so I slept in one of the guest rooms. I'm just hoping we can work things out because I don't want to lose her. 

I brought Shay to school and went to work. Janay and Jace was still sleeping when I was leaving the house. I have to get a new phone delivered at my office today. I looked at the shattered phone and shake my head. I've never seen her so angry, but I'm the one to be blamed. 

If I'm going to co parent with Sharayne then I'll definitely need to set some boundaries.

 I was at work when Andre walked in my office.

"Yo me a call yuh from morning enuh" he said sitting down.

I never say a thing, I just showed him the phone.

"A which car run over that?" he asked.

"Janay mash it up" I told him.

"Me rass a weh yuh do? Yuh tell har?" he questioned.

"Sharayne called my fucking phone so much last night, I just had to tell her. And in the midst of Janay arguing with me, she was calling again and Janay got angry and fling it inna di wall. Me couldn't even cuss har out because me understand how she feel" I said to him.

"Well me did tell yuh. Yuh should a say it to har before yuh even fly out. Me think she woulda understand, now she feel like ya hide tings from har" he said.

"Dat a true, me just a hope we can work it out" I said to him.

"Anyways me a have a problem wid a shipment and by shipment yuh know weh me mean. So me ago need yuh fi make a link wid my boy deh" he said.

"Okay me ago link him" I told him.

"And try ensure yuh make up back things wid yuh woman and no make Sharayne mash up yuh life" he said.

"Affi go try do dat enuh"  I said to him.

"Ahh me G" he said and walked out.

The man delivered my phone and I quickly set it up. I received so much missed calls and messages in such a short period of time, but I'm a business man so that's expected. I called a flower shop to deliver one dozen roses to my house for Janay. I do hope she'll come around.

I need to call Sharayne and really gi har a talk...because me need fi know why the fuck she a call call me so much time fah.
