Henry once again goes into another loop of this never ending cartoon. When it looked like he was just about to give in, his hands suddenly glow a bright gold. As his eyes shined bright, he remembers the past cycles that makes everything turn back to the start like an actual cartoon. Even though he does not remember, he leaves himself unseen messages hidden on the walls that shows us how long that has been happening. No matter how long or how hard, nothing changes. But, if he used this power in a different way, what would happen? So this time, he decides it was time for some changes. Now that he has the seeing tool and learnt many secrets and history, he knew who is who. He wonders what would happen if he used this power on them. He'll have to wait and see. As he does, his 3 creations, Bendy, Boris the Wolf and Alice Angel themselves, appear before him. The real ones he had created. He didn't know if it was the ink, but he just goes with it. He apologises he left them behind in Joey's care, but Bendy forgives him. After all, he wasn't the one that trapped all these innocent people down here. Boris was shaking a little, thinking about everything that has happened thus far and how many times Henry has done the cycle. Alice was rather worried about the people trapped, especially Susie. Then the Butcher Gang come along. They were fed up with this torture and, even if they and the big 3 were on separate sides, they too are routing for Henry to at last set them free with this little power of his.

Instead of facing the demon in ink, Henry heads down below to find Buddy. He found his way easily, until he gets to a dark hall with no light. Grabbing the nearest weapon, he goes in. It was quiet, too quiet. Then there was a light. Henry winced back in fright, but realised it was only then Buddy wearing a miner cap collecting supply. Giving him a hand, they navigate through the dark halls, and also hide from the Ink Demon out and about even if things got cramped. Buddy's cartoon mind kept getting hungry so they had to keep heading for vending machines, making things a little difficult because when he was hungry he would slow down. But they manage. They get to his little hideout and Henry tells him what he has in mind. He asks for his wolf friend to lend him his hand, and uses his power. Buddy's eyes suddenly glow bright, and his head is filled with all his passed memories of how he ended up here, as Daniel Lewek. His mother, his grandfather, his experience as the studio's gofer, even Dot, the friend he had dedicated his story to. His head is also filled with all the times he had met him, over and over. To Henry's surprise, his power had strengthened the human mind, and Buddy can now speak. For a moment, he saw the golden ink sketched into who he once was. He tells Henry he has heard of him and how he made all 3 characters. But he wonders where he got this power. Henry just suggests with his heart and soul, there is hope. For his plan to work, they need everyone's help.

Buddy points to his collage of scrap on the wall and Henry took a 2nd glace to work out what it is. It represented what seems to be a human soul suffering and trapped within a tainted body, which appears to be him. Henry tells Buddy how sorry he is for him and how he knew his purpose was to save his friends and family and not to be a toon. But complements his writing and congratulates him for saving his grandfather. Henry catches the eye of a pile of audio logs. Buddy tells him he found those near the entrance to Twisted Alice's domain via a door by someone named Milla Lenya. But Milla didn't even exist. She was just made up by the angel as a trap to lure Buddy to his doom. Interestingly enough, that was the first time he came face to face with Twisted Alice. Henry took a little listen, and she said things about how she was trapped in the studio with the monsters and the demon. How he heard it, this made up person must've been describing Susie herself by only having her mother saying "always honesty", meaning she was close to her, and how she doesn't like people lying to her, which explains a previous tape at the archives.

They go to the music department to find Sammy and Jack, but not without fighting some Searchers. To Henry's surprise, Buddy finds the courage to fight back. Within the ink infested sewer near the boiler as Buddy stands guard, Henry manages to infect Jack, and he too regains his memories of who he once was, bringing his human mind back into the open after some time. He asks how Henry did this, but it was hard to explain. Henry convinces Jack to give him the valve and meet him at the Lost Harbor. When Sammy struck again, Henry thought it could be his chance. With Buddy's help, Henry breaks free. But Sammy wasn't going to let them go that easily. He vows he will purge all the nonbelievers away and gather the sheep to his lord. Even though Buddy had some courage, he didn't have a weapon. But Jack intervenes and tries to help Henry do the same thing he did to him. Henry manages to touch him, and he saw Sammy's old self, showing he had done it. So he figures the same thing will happen every time he uses it on someone. Sammy falls to the floor, overwhelmed by what just happened. Now he knows why he went mad. Joey did this. He trapped them here. He took all their freedom. Sammy was so angry he was shouting, but Jack, his dear friend and partner, calms him down, saying Henry might be able to help him. Sammy remembers Henry. It's been so long he didn't recognise is face. The old animator tells him of his little idea that might set them free for real. So, standing up with his axe, Sammy was in. He still kept the mask, so it might be a while before he stops wearing it. The Ink Demon suddenly attacks, so the men had to make a break for it. Henry thought he could use his power on the Ink Demon, but it might be a little dangerous. But it gives him an idea. He tells the others they need to gather everyone to the Lost Harbour, because he's going to need plenty of help with this one. With thus, Sammy says Henry should've been running this studio, not Joey. He would've given Bendy a better legacy then him.
