"I can't believe Xan had to get the fucking tree down again!", Xav was absolutely killing it, he'd barely stopped laughing at the fact that his twin had been the one to piss Zane off the most two years running, "I knew it would be him".
"I should've made it you at this rate", Zane frowned, peering over at the tree. It was tall, bulky, and had taken us a good few hours with some breaks to decorate it; and then after that Xav insisted we should decorate the rest of the room and downstairs, so I helped him with that while the others bailed on us.
"You don't mean that", he huffed, "I bring you the least problems". Caleb laughed, a loud, full blown laugh that I hadn't heard come out of him in ages, he even went so far as to drop to his knees on the living room floor and clutch his stomach.
"Now you're delusional", he wiped his eyes, "it's Izzy, and it'll always be Izzy".
"What can I say?", I gave a one sided shrug and perched on the arm of the sofa beside Zane and Phoenix, "Nix I have a question".
"Go ahead", he gave me his full attention with a smile, pushing his growing brown hair out of his eyes.
"Can you bake some more of those gingerbread men? Someone ate them all before I had the chance to try one", I glared at Xav and he surrendered with a gasp, jumping to his feet.
"I did no such thing!", he exclaimed, "I'm offended you'd accuse me of such things Izzy". He crossed his arms and dropped onto the sofa with a frown, he seemed pretty certain it wasn't him.
"You're sure it wasn't you?", I narrowed my eyes at him and he groaned.
"Cross my heart, hope to die", he nodded.
"I hope you don't hope that", Caleb muttered and my eyes bulged out of my head.
"Figure of speech", Xav rolled his eyes and gazed back at me, "it wasn't me".
"Cay?", I turned my attention to my brother who was still on the floor, knees somehow pulled up to his chest even though his legs were almost the longest in the house.
"Don't look at me princesa, gingerbread sucks", he scrunched up his face and my jaw dropped.
"You're sick", I scoffed at him, questioning how we were related right now, "so that leaves Xander-,".
"Xan hates gingerbread too", Xav revealed and my frown deepened, "I know, they're both sick Izzy".
"And if Chase and Scott haven't been here in over a week, and Nix made the biscuits yesterday...", my eyes landed on Zane who was fucking pretending to sleep, "Zane". Phoenix laughed, poking his boyfriend until he squirmed, opening his eyes slowly as if he'd just woken up.
Traitor.
"Yes mi amor?", he rubbed his eyes and I rolled mine.
"You think you're slick", I shook my head, "you ate all the gingerbread men?". All eyes were on him, and apparently that was enough for him to break character.
"They were...addictive alright?", he gave a small shrug as he defended himself, "I don't believe it's my fault you didn't move quick enough".
"Can you even eat that much sugar at once?", Caleb asked him, alarm written all over his face.
"I...shouldn't", he admitted, "I took an extra shot, and then slept because I felt drowsy". Christ.
"So you risked your life for your boyfriend's gingerbread men?", Caleb asked and he nodded.
