I woke up with Tomas next to me. he looked sad, not at all his peaceful self. He must be plagued by nightmares.
He screams, and I wake him up.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
He can't answer me. I just sit here as hold him as he shakes in agony and terror.
A few minutes later, he seems fine. But I know he isn't. Something is majorly wrong. He wouldn't have screamed in his sleep otherwise.
"Hey. are you okay?" He asks me.
"I was about to ask the same thing."
"I'm okay. It's just a bad dream. I've had the same one since I was little."
"You screamed. It's not just a dream. This really scares you."
He hugs me and strokes my hair, trying to comfort me even though I should be comforting him.
"It'll be okay. I promise." he said. I guess he's right. Everything will work out for us. We're immortal. Nothing can really hurt us.
We stayed like that, just sitting in silence. Then, I heard the storm.
