-- Y/N --

I was at home, in bed. I was on the phone with Midorin. "Y/n, have you noticed how Akashi's attitude constantly changes around people. Like he has this other side of him..." he asked me.

At the mention of Akashi's name, I blushed. "N-no. No, I haven't." I mumbled, opening my TikTok. "Are you scrolling through Instagram?" he asks, hearing a song playing. "TikTok." I reply, scrolling to the next reel.

"I'm sending you something..." he replied. Not even a second later, a reel was sent. I opened it and a cheerful voice blasted my ears. I reduced the volume before rewinding.

"Hey! Today, Cancer as usual is first and most lucky. Aquarius' come in second! It is said that today, Aquarius' will receive confessions from people close to them. Their signs are most likely to be, Sagittarius, Virgo, or of the same sign. They will also argue with their true love today. Good luck Aquarius'!!" The video said.

I paused the video deep in thought. 'Akashi is a Sagittarius. And Daiki is a Virgo whereas Tetsu is an Aquarius. This is starting to scare me. But the video couldn't possibly be true right?' I thought.

As if he read my thoughts, Midorin replied, "It is Oha Asa's prediction, so I suggest you go out for a walk today, considering you are an Aquarius, Y/n..."

"Mm... can I not? Can you come with me, Midorin? Please..." I begged. He sighed.

"I'll be there in 5." he informed, before hanging up. I smiled to myself. As I finished dressing, my phone rang. 'Midorin's here already?' I thought as I checked my phone. 'Daiki?'

"Helo?" I question, walking downstairs. "Hey, Y/n. You free right now?" His rough voice asked from the other side. 'He sounds nervous.' I thought. "Actually, waiting for Midorin-Kun to come pick me up, for a walk. But I'm sure I can make time for you. What's up?" I ask.

"So, here's the thing... You see... I have liked you since we were kids... but I never found the courage to tell you. I know you don't feel the same way, but I need to get it off my chest. I just hope this doesn't change anything between us." he confessed.

I didn't want him to feel any worse with my silence, so I spoke. "Of course, it won't change anything Daiki! You'll always be my best friend no matter what. I'm sorry I can't return your feelings though. But you'll find someone better, I'm sure!" I say with a smile, even though he can't see it.

"Yeah... thanks. Anyways, enjoy your walk with Midorima, Y/n. Bye." he says and hangs up, not letting me reply.

-- Aomine Daiki --

After hanging up, I let the tears flow down. Not going to lie, it obviously hurt. But I didn't want to let her feel bad. 'Gain control, Daiki. The least you can do, is make sure no one breaks her heart' I think to myself as I try to stop crying.

Thank God Satsuki went out to help Akashi with something...

After the call, I wore my shoes and packed my water bottle. I heard a knock at the door. I grabbed my phone and earpieces and opened the door. "Midorin!" I shout excitedly and hug him.

I see his face heat up and I pout. "You okay Midorin?" I ask. "Y-yes. It's just I have never hugged a girl." he admits, looking away. I giggled. "To be fair, you didn't. I hugged you!" I say cheekily before running off.

"Y/N! Slow down!" he shouts running after me. I stop when we reach the park. "I'm surprised your so out of shape Midorin. I thought you were a basketball player." I pout.

He pants. "I am. But Akashi doesn't make us run 5km in 20 minutes!!" he bursts out, clearly tired. 'Was I that fast?' I thought to myself, looking around for a cafe.

'Dine like an Akashi? The hell?' I thought to myself as I read a diner's name. "Does Akashi-Kun own a diner?" I ask Midorin. He looks at the direction I was faced and saw the diner. "Not that I know of. Do you want to head there?" he asks, regaining his calm composure and adjusting his glasses.

I giggled. "What?" he asks. "You act like a typical guy with glasses Midorin-" I laugh out. He frowns. "Let's just go..." he mumbles, taking my hand and we head to the restaurant.
