chapter one
So my parents just fucking threw me out. We've never been on good terms (my parents are cunts) but didn't really expect them to throw me out. I was 2 minutes away from my favourite cousin's house, Rue. Ru Ru and I have always been close even though she's 2 years older than me, I don't know, I guess we just have a lot in common. Her mom (Leslie, my aunt), and her sister (Gia, my cousin) I love too, that's why I called them as soon as I got thrown out. Leslie has always hated my mom even though they were sisters but it's because she's abusive and married an even more abusive man.
The cab pulled out the front of Rue's house and I said thank you before grabbing my large suitcase from the trunk. I heard the front door of their house open and saw Rue running straight to me. I dropped my shit and pulled her into a hug.
"KENZ! I fucking missed you bro," she laughed.
"I missed you more ru ru."
"MOM! KENZ IS HERE!" she called into the house. I watched as Leslie and Gia ran out of the house to hug me.
"Are you okay? I'm so sorry kenz," Leslie spoke.
"I'm okay. thank you for letting me stay," I smiled.
"You know we love having you here. Come inside."
I grabbed my suitcase and followed them inside, it looked the same as it did the last time I was there. It felt like home. I followed Rue up the stairs and she showed me into the guest room I always stay in. I chucked my stuff on the floor and threw myself onto the bed.
"It feels so good to be back," I sighed.
"I'm so glad you're back," Rue replied. "I got you a present in my room."
"Oh yeah," I smirked, following behind her into her room. I closed the door behind us and watched her dig for something under her bed.
"There it is," she huffed, pulling out a bag of white powder from under her bed.
"Fuck yes, coke," I laughed. She went over to grab a book and a dollar note, setting up the lines. "Yo Rue didn't you go to rehab?"
"Yeah and I'm better now, so I can do drugs," she said, finishing lining up the last line.
"I don't think that's how it works, but I trust you." I watched her snort the first line then she handed me the book. I placed the rolled-up money in my nose and snorted my first line of coke. I threw my head back as the burning sensation hit my nose.
"fuck, that's better," I laughed. We both did one more line, then decided it would be smart to unpack all my bags and set up my room.
