chapter ten

We'd all drunkenly decided to go in the hot tub and had just changed into our swimsuits and were all sitting around each other. Maddy was begging Nate to get in and sure enough he gave in and sat in between Maddy and I. Cassie had been inside until she stumbled towards the tub with a bottle and balloons flying off her.

"Oh okay," Kat hummed.

She climbed into the hot tub and sat right in between Nate and I whilst also stumbling on top of him.

Cassie acted shocked, "Shit sorry."

"It's okay," Nate sighed.

Her face was lit up with a big beaming smile as she looked at Maddy, "Happy birthday."

"Thank you," Maddy smiled back.

"I'm so glad you guys are back together," BB chimed. Oh bb. girl.

I watched Maddy's face drop, "We're not back together."

"You're not?" Cassie asked.

Nate was quick to respond, "No."

"I mean I was gonna say no but why are you saying no?" Maddy asked him.

"Um, because we're not." I sat there trying my hardest not to embarrass my drunk self by laughing at the awkwardness and luckily I controlled myself.

"But why are you so definitive about it?" Maddy asked.

"I wasn't being definitive."

Kat and I looked over at each other wth a worried look as they went on snapping back and fighting with each other about literally nothing.

"It was also the tone in which you said no. It was quick," Maddy fought back.

Kat decided to chime in, "It was hasty."

"You really think she's gonna disagree with you?" Nate asked.

"If I disagreed with her then I would," Kat snapped.

Maddy was going on about how Nate always says how much he loves her, "Move in with me, Marry me, Have my babies!" When Cassie threw up, all in the hut tub. We all started screaming and quickly jumped out of the tub before getting smothered in her munt.

"I'm so sorry," Cassie cried as we all ran away ad Maddy tried her hardest not to throw up. "I'm so sorry Maddy!"

"It'a fine," Maddy panted as Cassie kept crying. Suze came outside and pulled Cassie out of the tub and to her room as she kept crying and apologising.

"Are you okay Maddy," I said, patting her back.

"What's wrong with her lately," She huffed.

I shrugged my shoulders, "Wish I could tell you."
