Raoul Bedwyr

His first name, pronounced RA-OOL, is one of the many variations to have been spurred by the Old Norse name Ráðúlfr, a name derived from the Norse elements rad meaning "counsel, advice" and ulfr meaning "wolf". His family name, pronounced BEHD-wir, is possibly from bedwen "birch" and gwr "man".

Ray

His family's nickname for him. It's a term of endearment meant specifically for his parents, so he doesn't quite appreciate others using it, friends included. He doesn't mind others making up other nicknames for him though.

Bedwyr

The family last name. Commonly said in more formal settings by the nobles his parents are acquainted with. He doesn't really stand out enough in these scenarios to be addressed by first name.

Loafer / Bedhead / Etc.

Any terms, phrases, or other synonymous with someone lazy, sleeps the day away, etc. Rather than a nickname, it's used more often by strangers when referring to the absent-minded heir. Usually with a negative connotation.

The Black Sheep of Bedwyr

In reference to both his powers, which contradict the nature of the day court, and his family history.

Male || He/Him - They/Them

He is comfortable with his biological gender and thus mainly uses he/him pronouns. However, he does not particularly care for pronouns and is comfortable with people addressing him however they choose, even feminine pronouns. As long as the message gets across, what does it matter?
