Puck was the glee teacher and he was hoping that he could find mentors for Marley, his brother Jake, Kitty, Ryder and Unique. The only problem was he was finding it hard to find a mentor for Marley. It only left Santana but he wasn't allowing someone as assertive as Santana be Marley's mentor.
Puck knew the only person that was more than qualified to be Marley's mentor was currently asleep in his bed. He knew Rachel was the most qualified to mentor and help her and knew that Rachel would help Marley with her confidence too as he remembered all those times Rachel helped everyone in the glee club.
Puck was going through the glee club paperwork when he felt arms around him. He knew by the smell of the rose scented soap that it was his fiancee Rachel. They had gotten together after Finn had passed away from getting badly injured in the field. And they found comfort and safety in one another, and helped each other fill the void of losing Finn.
"You weren't in bed Noah. What's wrong?" Puck sigh and said
"Just doing some glee work My American Jewish Princess." Rachel always blushed when Puck called her that. Rachel kissed his cheek and said
"Maybe I could help. I am the expertise when it comes to glee club." Puck knew Rachel was right, and he turned to face her
"Would you be willing to be a mentor for one of the new students in Glee club?" Rachel thought about it, and the more she did, the more it made sense to her.
"Of course who will I be mentoring?" Puck smiled widely at her
"Marley Rose. She's very shy, I think you could help her with her confidence Rach." Rachel him and said
"Of course." Rachel then looked at Puck's list and said
"Maybe you could have Quinn mentor Ryder. And Santana mentor Kitty. Mercedes and Kurt both could be Unique's mentor, as both Kurt and Mercedes are the reason why Unique is at Mckinley, it would make sense for them to be her mentor instead of just Mercedes, as for your brother. Mike Chang and Matt Rutherford could be his mentor they both dance and everything it could help Jake a lot. And it would also not allow you to show favouritism towards him either." Puck looked at the list
"Those are really good ideas. Any more of those." Rachel nodded her head and said
"You could also have your mentors and their students perform a song or even a dance together, showcasing what the students learnt from their mentors. As what's the point of you giving them mentors if they aren't going to showcase and show you what they learnt from them." Puck turned to face Rachel and said
"You are brilliant you know that." Rachel gave a smile
"Of course. I'm engaged to you Noah Puckerman." Puck kissed Rachel and then lead her to their room.
The following day in Glee club, Puck walked in the choir room with Rachel, Santana, Quinn, Mercedes, Kurt, Mike and Matt and addressed Marley, Jake, Ryder, Kitty and Unique.
"This week I'm giving you five mentors. I want you to learn from them and listen to them. I'm assigning you your mentors and no you can not change them." Puck took out his list and read
"Marley your mentor is Rachel. Jacob your mentors are Mike and Matt. Kitty your mentor is Santana, Unique your mentors are Mercedes and Kurt and lastly Ryder your mentor is Quinn."
Puck then looked up from his list and continued
"And by the end of next week I want you and your mentors to perform together and showcase what you learnt from them."
Puck looked at them talking and meeting their mentors when Marley walked up to him. And Puck gently spoke
"You'll learn a lot from Rachel I promise you will Marley. When it comes to glee club she knows what she's doing, and she will listen and even provide advice as well. You don't have to worry about anything at all, you're in safe hands with her." Marley nodded her head and said
"Thanks Puck." Marley then walked back and sat next to Rachel and they started converse. Puck hoped more than anything that Rachel could help Marley, as he noticed something is wrong with her, it's why he decided for the mentors, so he could get to the bottom of what's going on, and he knew the only person who could do that for Marley is Rachel.
A few days later Rachel and Marley walked into the choir to talk to Puck and Santana.
"Thank you for meeting us here, especially you Santana without Kitty for now. It's important and Marley is comfortable with telling you both what's going on, and she would only speak up if I was here too." Puck and Santana were concerned and they said
"What's going on?" Rachel encouraged Marley to speak
"I have an eating disorder. Bulimia to be exact. And it was Kitty that gave it to me." Puck couldn't believe it, and neither could Santana as she walked out to find Kitty.
Puck gently spoke
"We will help you Marley. Rachel and I both will. We will get you the proper help you need. And don't worry about the assignment either. We will inform your mum, and miss Pillsbury together so we can get you help, but you have trust us enough to help you."
Marley was quiet and then quietly spoke
"I trust you to help me. I want to get better."
After they spoke to Millie and Miss Pillsbury.
Puck then turned to Rachel and said
"Thank you my American Jewish Princess." Puck kissed her and then they heard Santana with Kitty, and Puck then walked over to them and said to Kitty
"I'm kicking you out of glee club Kitty. Eating disorders is a harmful thing, and something that should be taken seriously. I'm not Finn so I'm not going to give you a pass. But you are out of glee club, I know it will mean I'm down a member but you harmed a student Kitty, you aren't welcomed back." Kitty was angry and then walked away.
"I'm sorry I had to do that Santana. She harmed a student worse than what you used to do." Santana nodded her head and then walked away. And Puck walked over to Rachel and she spoke
"I'm proud of you Noah." Puck smiled and said
"I'm proud of you too. Maybe you could be my co director officially." Rachel thought about it and said
"I'd love to."
