Sid's eyes were on the tape recorder only for all the time. He slowly touched it. He felt a sharp flow of coldness through his body. That thing made something to him which he didn't know what it was. He took it in his hand. He saw that there was a tape inside. He thought to hear what was in that. His hands slowly went to the play button and he was about to press it.
But he stopped himself suddenly. He quickly placed it back on the dresser.
Sid: it's not good to peek into others privacy....he said to himself.
Abhi came out of the washroom and saw sid looking around his room astonished. He smiled at his awe look and went to him.
Abhi: what happened Shiva...
Sid: huh...no..nothing bhaiya...ur room is awesome...
Abhi: what makes u feel like that....
Sid: see the gadgets...it's all so expensive and...and i don't know how to say what I feel about it....
Abhi: but nothing in this room is my choice Shiva...each and everything in here was bought and kept here by mom....i don't even use most of them...but yeah one thing in here is my personal choice and favorite....he said taking the tape recorder.
Sid: a tape recorder...
Abhi: yeah....it's the last thing i have as bond between me and the one who i love so much....he said in a cracked tone.
Sid thought that might be a memorable thing which his father gave himas a last gift as for now he didn't knew anything about Abhi's father.
Vaishu entered the room looking for them.
Vai: what are u guys doing here....i am starving....
Abhi: yeah yeah coming....do u want to get fresh up Shiva...
Sid: no bhai...i am fine...
Vai: that's good let's go down....already i am getting the aroma of kakas cheese maggi.....she said running down.
Sidshek shook their head looking at her. She was looking like a 5 year old kid who will get hyper on seeing a maggi....
Abhi: so this is ur di's original form Shiva....don't get distracted from her responsible side....
Sid just smiled at him and both went down only to see vaishu already stuffing her mouth with Maggi.
They too took their bowl and started eating. Sid really liked it and they thanked kaka for the snacks. After they spent their time by playing games in the game room.
Abhi and Vaishu was always fighting over small things and they switched to a new game whenever they fought. Sid firstly was enjoying their fights but after switching nearly 6 games he frustrated.
Sid: oh god....bhaiya and di...can't u guys play a game without fighting without eachother....
They stopped fighting and looked at him amused..it was the first time he expressed his annoyance ever...
Sid: it's like u guys are playing just to get into fight....
Abhinavi: ok ok...calm down....
Sid looked at him huffed.
Vai: ok let's play carrom....
Abhi: what no way....u will cheat...
Vai: no i won't...
Abhi: u will...
Sid: see now i guys started even before starting to play.
Abhinavi looked at eachother and burst out laughing. Sid looked at them annoyed.
Vai: u look so cute while annoyed...she said pulling his cheeks...
Abhi: haa...just like small kid...he too pulled the other cheek.
Sid: i am not a kid...now if u guys are done shall we continue the game....
Abhi was about to say something when his phone rang.
Abhi: u guys carry on....i will come in some time...he left them there.
Vaishu saw sid and thought to talk about Anand.
Vai: Sid...
Sid widened his eyes as she called with his real name. He quickly checked whether Abhi was in headshot distance and sighed in life and turned to Vaishu.
Sid: haa di...
Vai: sid...i think something going wrong in that Anand's mind...his looks on u are not good...just stay away from him ok...
Sid was confused why she was telling suddenly like this but nodded his head.
Vai: i know u are confused but trust me...he is not a good guy to be around and also his gang...so just keep urself away from them...if he is crossing his line just tell me or Abhi ok....
Sid: ok di....
Abhi came inside the room and seemed to be angry. Vaishu didn't know why but decided to keep silent. Then they went to have their dinner and slept in no time.
Abhi made sure sid was comfortable and he didn't allowed him to sleep in guest room. He made him to sleep with him. That night the long lost brothers cuddled eachother after so many years.
Both of them felt relaxed with each other and didn't know why. Like that the next two days went by and sidnavi went back to their home.
Abhi woke up with a smile as today his mom was coming back from Dubai. And also he felt something weird and something gonna happen....till now whenever he felt like this something big has happened in his life...but today he didn't knew what was that.
He got ready for the college and went down stairs. When he went his eyes fell on his eyes fell on something which was on the floor. He went and took his in his hand.
Abhi: huh...how did this bracelet came here....argh Abhi u are becoming so lazy and careless now a days....he said to himself and went upstairs to him room and lazily threw the bracelet on the dresser and turned to go back...
But his eyes caught something and his eyes widened in shock. He turned again and went near the dresser with baby steps. His eyes were still on the dresser when a tear rolled down his cheek....
His breath hitched when he found what he saw was true....his hands reached to the thing on the dresser with shaking in fear, happiness, and above all guilt...he took the thing in his hands and pressed it to his heart when more tears rolled down.
