Soon the doctor came. He bandaged the wounds and was shocked to see the belt marks on his hands when he rolled up the sleeve to give injection.
Doc: what is this beta...
Sid just looked at the doctor and vaishu and VD in tension not knowing what to answer.
Sid: i..it's...no..nothing....he answered stuttering ..
Vaish: sid...don't lie...it's clearly visible that's belt marks....tell us how it happened ...
Sid: no...it's nothing....it's just i got while playing ....he lied afraid of that if they came to know he ran from his house they will again hand over him to his foster parents.
Vaishu looked at him and saw he was not comfortable. So she gestured the doctor to give the injection and the doctor left after giving him the injection.
Vai: sid now tell me how it happened....
Sid: while playing only.....
Vaish: DO U THINK WE WILL BELIEVE THIS....DONT LIE SIDDHARTH.....she shouted on him.
Sid: no....please no...don't beat me....i will tell but please don't beat me.....he said crying in fear.
Vaishu calmed down seeing his tears and his condition. She tried to touch his face. But he leaned back in fear crying more
Sid: please di....i..i wi...will tell....please don't harm me please....
Vaish: sid...sid calm down...no one is going to harm u till I am with u ok....now stop crying....she said wiping his tears and sat beside him. He was still scared of her and shivering.
Vaish: sid....i am saying na ..we won't do any harm to u ok....now calm down.....
After 5 minutes he became normal...
Sid: that...that was given by my parents....he said in a low tone not daring to look up.
Vaish: what parents....who in the world will beat their own son like this....
Sid: no no...I mean they are my foster parents....they adopted me....
Vaish: ohh...so u ran from ur house....
Sid: hmm...but please di....please dont send me back to them please....they..they will...he again started crying taking heavy breaths.
Vaish: ok ok ssh....sid...don't cry....where are they.......
Sid: they are in pune...i ran from the house yesterday but 2 truck drivers also fooled me and took me here....i ran from them also....di please give me this job....i will do the job correctly....please di....i will not do anything wrong please.......
Vaish looked at her dad. He smiled in approval.
Vaish: ok....u can work here.
Sid: thank u di....
Vaish:where are u staying....
Sid: i don't know....but i will take a room for rent...
Vaish: wow....in kolkata u take a room for rent and u will give half of ur salary as rent huh....
He looked down sadly not knowing what to say.
VD: for this i will tell u a solution....they both looked at him.
VD: u can live with us...
Sid: what no sir....i will manage...
VD: hello young man ..i am not saying to live for free....u can stay as paying guest....but I don't want above 500 rs per month....
Sid looked at him and then at vaishu. She gave an assuring smile for him. At last Sid agreed to stay with them in their home.
Actually he prefered to live alone. He was scared of them also. He was feeling insecured as his past was not good and also those truck drivers betrayed him. So he agreed to them half heartedly.
Vaish: ok let's go home come ...
Sid: huh but work....
Vaish: hello sir...u are sick today....u can join from tomorrow now come and take rest....
Sid: ok....umm di....please can u call me with another name....
Vai: why....
Sid: i..i don't want them to find me....i am sure they will be searching for me now....
Vai: but u are so far from Pune right....
Sid: yeah....but un..uncle has so many influence in many city....i know he is powerfull...he would be searching for me now may all over the country with the help of his sources.....so only i dont want anyone who know me by name to find me.....
Vai: but i have a doubt....why will they search for u desparately.....what's their gain....
Sid: thats.....he trailed off thinking the amount they were about to get for him.....he has caused a huge loss and they will not leave him if he gets caught. But he didn't wanted others to know.
Vaishu understood his dilema.
Vai: ok leave it.....if u don't feel like talking about it....it's ok....now what should call u....um...what about Shiva....
Sid just nodded his head in ok...because any name other than Siddharth was ok for him.
Vaishu: ok leys go home now...come....
Sid: thank u di.....he said and went with them as he knows he needs rest as he has not ate anything from last 2 days and also he needs energy to work from tomorrow.
The next day he joined and earned the love and trust of vaishu and VD quickly.
