Day of the Dawn

Chapter 6

As Icepaw, Dawnfeather, and Whitecloud returned to the camp, they saw Scarstar coming down from high-rock, as they missed a clan meeting.

"Dang!" Dawnfeather said frustrated, "They must've started the meeting right after we left!"

"Oh well, i'm gonna go ask Moonlight what happened." WhiteCloud said with a mouth-full of herbs.

"Okay, see you later!" Icepaw said as she walked away.

"I'm gonna go ask Ravenwing, I'll tell you after you feed the elders. We can eat together." Dawnfeather told her apprentice.

"Thanks!" Icepaw replied.

Dawnfeather walked over to the warriors den only to find Ravenwing yelling at her apprentice.

"What happened?" Dawnfeather asked.

"I caught my apprentice eating on a hunting patrol! Ravenwing snarled.

"I am very disappointed in you Volepaw!" Dawnfeather growled, "Go tell Lunarheart(Deputy) what you've done! She'll decide what to do with you!"

Volepaw slowly walked away as the two warriors stared at her.

"I missed the clan meeting, do you know what happened or am I gonna have to ask another cat?" Dawnfeather said jokingly.

"Okay, okay!" Ravenwing said laughing, "All Scarstar told us was that moonlight had another vision. About the aftermath of the Day of the Dawn, all she knows is that it's not pretty."

Dawnfeather frowned hearing that. She thought the war would be over as soon as the sun had risen the next morning....apparently not....

Ravenwing gave Dawnfeather a look of sympathy. She must've know what was wrong. Surrey I wasn't the only one who thought that.

"I'm gonna go tell Icepaw whats going on." Dawnfeather said quietly. as she walked to the apprentices den.

"Um..okay." Ravenwing said with a worried look on her face.

As Dawnfeather walked over to the apprentice's den to hear Skypaw arguing with Icepaw. She walked over to where they couldn't see her.

"You told them what!?" Skypaw hissed.

"I'm sorry- I didn't know!" Icepaw yelled.

"It doesn't matter now! You ruined everything!" she snarled as she swiped at her face and scratched her.

"Hey!" Dawnfeather hissed as she jumped in front of Skypaw, "What do you think you're doing! If you think you're gonna get away with this you're mouse-brained!

Dawnfeather grabed her by her scruff and dragged her to Scarstar's den.

"She was caught sneaking out of the camp by Icepaw, and I just caught her attacking Icepaw!" Dawnfeather growled to Scarstar.

"Go get Icepaw," demanded Scarstar as he glared at Skypaw, "we need to have a talk."
