Chapter 24 : Starting Again ?

Vaani decided to resume her job back in KMCH hospital . Despite of  all the refusals from her parents , she chose to go for work. Since that was the only way to get Akash out from her peanut sized brain.

Meera knew everything right from the start till date , being her friend she did not know how to console her because consoling Vaani to move on from Akash wasn't an easy task.

The minute Vaani sat in there room , Meera came up with an appointment ..

" Dean unnaku oru appointment kuduturukaru de , air crack ah fracture ah nu teriala pola ! So you have to go in person " Meera conveyed her dean's word.

Vaani nodded her head , the girl who speaks with out pause , hardly muttered few words which was so unusual . Meera did not know how to pull her friend out of the damage done.

"Na varava kuda ? " Meera offered but Vaani denied it and left with her scooter.

Vaani kept running away from rewinding any of the incidents that took place with Akash. But unfortunately fate shows some signs which will remind her everything about Him like how she is standing infront of the same hotel,  where the destiny had made them meet accidentally.

"Ooru la vera yevlavooo hotel iruku ! Indha patient inga dhan irupara ? " Vaani rolled her eyes off as she walked in to the entrance of the Hotel.

The receptionist led her to the room , when Vaani knocked the door but she got no response , she again knocked while her eyes were roaming around the infrastructure of the hotel.

She heard the shrieking sound of the giant door that opened , without thinking twice she muttered " Vaani,  Physiotherapist " but stood rooted to the ground as she blinked her eyes wondering is she is seeing Vinodh in real .

"Enna achu Anna ungaluku edhavudhu ayrucha? " Forgetting about her issues , the concern in her erupted.

"Ennaku illa ! Adho anga okandhurukan la "
Vinodh pointed to his friend who was resting his head against the headboard.

The white button up shirts , not to forget the top two buttons which were left opened along with the dark slim fit pants , to top it of the sleeves were rolled up to his arm . He kept combing his hair with his fingers alone and the clean shave look as the one who is responsible for her state looked at her with a sheepish smile.

Vaani decided not to step in , she threw her professionalism and turned towards the lift ,
when Vinodh urged "Vaazhikudhu nu sollran da ! Vaani ah vara venam at least oru doctor ah treat him" 

"Illa Anna , ivaruku dhan Male doctors venum la , he is allergy to female doctors ? If I m not wrong? " She told a little louder so that the intention is conveyed to the person who is waiting for her to treat him.

"Illa illa avan irukura vaazhi ku yaru treat pannalum paravala ! " Vinodh asked and when it is Vinodh asking she couldn't deny the offer , after all he hadn't caused the break.

She walked up to Akash in a hesitant manner. When Vinodh winked at Akash indicating there plan is on.

"Konjam seekrama vandhu patha dhan enna ? Ennaku vazhikudhu " Akash rubbed the salt more on the wound .

He got a strong glare as a response .
" Kochkutalatam iruku "  His mind voice reminded while his heart yelled " Nee panna vezhaiku kochukama romance ah seiva ? "

She looked at his leg , where his pants were rolled up.

"Enna achu Anna ? " She asked as she held his right leg .

"Na dhan patient , Vinodh illa " Akash made up his mind to leave Coimbatore only with Vaani.

Vaani's face had absolute zero reaction.

" En mela dhan tappu ! Thappu panniten , na dhan phone ah pathutu keela vizhundhuten. " Akash had sincerity in his voice while Vaani did not even bother to look at him , when her focus was entirely on his leg.

"Vinodh Anna ! Vara vara naraya peruku avunga panradhu ellam tappa dhan teriudhu " Vaani threw a sarcasm.

Knowing that Vaani still hadn't forgotten his words which made her to leave , tried to ease the situation by cracking few words " Enga irundhu vara ? "

Her another glare was enough to keep him silent for 5 minutes.

Akash's phone began ringing and the ring tone was enough to make Vaani's eyes well up with tears .

Why not when the song he had set as ringtone was " Raja Raja Chozhan Naan " She immediately blinked her tears back , thinking it was not noticed by Akash , well he did notice.

There he again began, while she really wanted to analyse if there is any swelling due to the skid .. Akash held her hand but Vaani shoved his hands off.

"Enna dhan Venum ? " Vaani asked with meeting his eyes , which she tried avoiding

"Na romba ellam kekala , chinnadha oru smile ! Doctor smile pannite patient ah treat pannanum ! Degree vanga modhu solli tarala ? " Akash did not know that he had touched the wrong pulse.

In response he expected her to throw things at him , while she faked a smile that did not even reach her eyes , forget about reaching her eyes it did not even look like she smiled.

"Ayayoo ! Adhuku nee moraikuradhe paravala " Akash shrugged.

Vaani did not find traces of any swelling , the moment she turned his legs on anti clockwise she did not hear him yell which a person who has accidentally twisted his legs would do , that alarmed her mind with what he was upto . She looked up to find him having his gaze on her , the eyes and the smile on his lips that she could melt for but later on she realised all this was Akash's play to meet her , and start from scratch.

Vaani left his leg on the bed with a thud and turned towards Vinodh who failed at his acting skills. " Na varen Anna "

"Ennaku innum treatment mudiyala " Akash told trying to hold her back.

"Konjam better ah pannirukalam " She told which Akash did not clearly understand.

"Acting ah sonnen " She glowered at the duo.

"Vaani na solradha kelu " Vinodh tried to reason it but stopped when he saw her palms put forth.

"Loudspeaker ! Ennaku pesanum unkita " He stood down from the bed.

"Ennaku pesa onnum illa ! " Vaani cut him off.

"Pesuradhuku , kekuradhuku naraya iruku " He tried his best in making her listen.

"Look Mr ! Namma pesanum na , ennaku neenga terinjavanhala irukanum or atleast friends ah irukanum ... we don't share anything " She tried bringing the reality in front.

"En kanna pathu sollu , we dont share anything nu ? " Akash demanded.

Vaani was tongue tied , all this time she spoke with anger but to say these with looking into his eyes was near to impossible.

Seeing her dumbstruck, Akash conveyed
" Solla mudiyala la ? "

"Wait we do share ! " Her voice depicted how dejected she was.

While Akash was expecting a favourable answer , She turned him down saying " Na unga doctor, neenga en patient that's all " Vaani shrugged her shoulders and turned towards the door.

"Marandhuradinga " Vaani warned him before turning the door knob.

"Marandhuten ! Neeyum maranduru " Akash was ready to get her back no matter what.

She rolled her eyes and walked past the door leaving him to hatch some other plan , while Vinodh's mind voice knocked
" Modhala irundha ??? Kadavuleeyy"
