She stood there in the platform wondering If she ran into a human museum or a festival fair with human faces.Holding on to her backpack , she sat on the wooden bench , closing her eyes and rubbing her thumbling temple. She could hear a hubbub of people at the ticket counter trying there luck on grabbing the last minute tickets. She found people with anxiety written on there faces waiting for the arrival of there loved ones and the other side of the platform there were people standing with hopes to start a new life with the journey.
A train came to screeching halt at the second platform . Scattered crowd of eager people stood near the doors of the train. People stormed in and out. As soon as the platform was cleared a piercing whistle sound Shrill through the air and the train chugged away making her sigh and huff.
She was brought back into reality when she heard her phone ringing . It was a call from Meera.
Meera : Vaaniiiiii ! She exclaimed over the call.
Vaani : Meera ! Sollu Meera . She sighed
Meera : Enna voice la sruthi koraiyudhu? Enga iruka? Ivlavu satham varudhu?
Vaani : Adhu na Railway Station la nikuren .
Meera : Wait Wait ! Indha dadhavayum neeya vandhutiya?
Vaani : Hey! En neram d na attend panra endha patient ku enna pudikala ! Illa ennaku avungala pudikala ! You have to be happy when you attend patients d , maximum inga one week tangunadhe periya vishayaam dhan . She huffed
Meera : Seri Coimbatore dhana vara? Na veetla vandhu unna pakkuren , Amma Appa va apram un thambi Aadi ah ketenu sollu.
The duo soon hung the call . Vaani was apparently waiting for the train when her attention was caught by a little girl out there standing near the weighing machine. She was cribbing asking her parents to give her the coin to check the weight this definitely made her to travel down the memory lane when she use to pester her parents to give her a coin to check the weight !
The reason behind why she wanted to check the weight was that when she stands on it and insert the coins , she ll get a card indicating her weight but behind that would be a message. She was excited to read those messages and somewhere down felt happy reading them.
When Vaani saw the little kid jumping out of excitement reading the message behind the card , she was now curious to try her luck on it.
She then stood on the weighing machine and inserted a coin and then there was Ding Dong sound indicating that the card has reached. She took the cards with her little hands.
Vaani : Paravalaye ! Pona time I was 55 now 56 , one kg improvement ! Good job Vaani . She gave a pat to herself
She then immediately turned the card behind to read the message stored in for her ..... Her eyes turned wide reading them...
" When One door closes ultimately there is another door that shall open for you ! Luck is on your way."
Vaani smiled looking at the card sarcastically
Vaani : Ellam ennaku sadi pannudhu ! Ippa dhan andha patient ah handle panna mudiyala nu inga ninutu iruken . Destiny is also laughing at my plight . She thought to herself and put the card down.
Then she heard the railways station announcement of her training arriving in the platform 2 . She immediately went inside the train when it had stopped.
Vaani sat next to the window seat but her heart was behind the fortune card that she threw down. Without thinking twice she ran again out of the train and went to the place she threw the card .
