Chapter One

Disclaimer: McGee: Drawn to Life is a fan series (fan-fiction) inspired by the original 1989 Children's Christian series, McGee and Me. While all respectful attempts have been made to keep Drawn to Life in tune with its source material and core Christian values, we have brought the world of McGee into the 21st Century. This means the series does contain progressive topics such as (Including but not limited too): LGBTQIA+ inclusion, mental health, other religions mentioned/practiced and contains magical lore all WITHOUT ignoring Nicholas and McGee's positive relationship with Christianity. 

 As a reminder, this is work of fanfiction. The series is not to be taken seriously, is not canon to or endorsed by the source material and otherwise takes place in an 'alternative universe' from the original series. Some canon has been altered for the sake of creative liberty.

 Some episodes contain sensitive material/subject matter and proper warnings will be placed at the beginning of said episodes. This series is recommended for ages 12+. The episode titled: Ellie's Big Secret will have a mature label on it in accordance with Wattpad's terms of service as it contains the topic of su*cide and self h*rm. You will need to ask your parents/guardians permission to access this episode via their own monitored devices. A summary will be written on my Wattpad blog for sensitive and minor viewers so you can remain up to date on the series in accordance with Wattpad's terms of service. So far, Ellie's Big Secret will be the only episode in which a mature label is required by Wattpad. That being said, please don't vote for episodes as mature that don't break Wattpad's TOS. *The sounds of the thick jungle echoed and bounced off the various foliage that covered the secluded and very much off-limits island, nestled somewhere in the middle of some exotic sea; did it really matter which one? There was no civilization for hundreds if not thousands of miles and the little evidence left that there was once human life on this island was heavily hidden now by overgrowth and moss...and for good reason.*

Carefully, I wandered through the bush, my machete cutting through the thick vines and twisted thorns as I blazed a trail behind me. I felt my breathing becoming heavier, the feeling of something wanting to burst out from my chest at any given moment. My hand went to my chest, gripping the fabric of my jungle garb before my ears twitched. Spinning around, I held my weapon in front of me. The bush ahead of me rattled, first to the right, then to the left, my head turning just a second behind each rustle. My chest rose and fell, making a complete three-hundred-and-sixty-degree spin. But as I tried to back away slowly, my back met with something, making me freeze before I heard a low growl coming from above me.*

MCGEE:
Heh...

*My head slowly looked up, feeling the warm breath coming from the lizardy beast that barred its razor-sharp teeth down at me.*

C-clever girl?

*But compliments paid the velociraptor no mind as she snapped her jaw, coaxing me to move my feet and spring into action, chasing me through the bush towards the road, where I made a leap for my life, seeing the parked all-terrain vehicle just up ahead. Quickly, I opened the door and got into the driver's seat, turning over the engine, feeling the wheels spin under me before the vehicle shot forward*
