Alana's perspective.

" I know it's super not Vassar or PC to say this but I think Hillary is even more important than Obama."
One of my friends said, using one of her manicured hands to clutch onto a cheap glass of red wine. Me, Riley and Winter sat on the cold leather in the basement watching the final electoral debate between Trump and Hillary.

I'd never been much of a political person.
But this presidential election sparked something in me, purely due to the amount of rage and shout it was causing everyone.

"The fight for civil rights lasted for a couple hundred years, but the fight for female equality lasted for like thousands."
She remarked.
The sound of the cheers in the background of the debate and the inconsistent sounds of clicking on a keyboard from Winters brother behind us filled the silence.

"There's no way people are buying this shit!
I'm telling you she's gonna flip Texas and maybe even Arizona, it's gonna be the biggest loss in electoral college history!"
Winter stated excitedly, bouncing up and down on the couch slightly.

"Wanna bet?"
We turned around to see Winters blue-haired sibling had unglued his eyes from his laptop and engaged in our chatter.

"I'll bet!"
I chimed in. His eyes averted from the TV to me, his colourless eyes filling up with inibition.

"If Trump wins you can fuck all three of us."
I grin, causing winter to cringe at my remark.

"It's never gonna happen!"
I say, breaking Kai's eye contact and taking a sip of the wine.

"You guys don't see it, your previous Obummer has shielded you from what's really going on out there."
Kai declared, shutting his laptop screen down slightly to show full attentiveness.

"Right. economic anxiety? aka racism."
Winter argued, squinting her eyes at her brother.

"people hate her, she's weak;
Remember what happened a few weeks ago at the 9/11 memorial ceremony. She had to be carried to a car! Everyone knows it's early onset parkinson's.
They hate the sound of her voice, they hate the fact that she can't satisfy her husband, the world isn't this progressive happy place you think it is, okay?"
Kai asserted, clearly passionate about this matter.

Although I didn't agree with his standpoint, I did respect his dedication.

"People tolerated the black guy, but no one wants a women as president. Not even other women."
Kai stated, opening his laptop once again to show us he believed he'd once this argument.

"Who told you that?"
I interjected, staring into his dark eyes as he peeked over the blaring screen.

"Your 4chan pepe frog-fucking buddies?
Inbetween exchanging pictures of dead people and shit porn?"
I argued, stabbing at his masculinity.
Winter and Riley laughing at my comments which only boosts me to push further.

"You win if people turn out to vote and nobody is turning out for that shrill cunt bitch.
Have you seen the trump rallies? the passion?"
He argues back, shutting his laptop fully and turning to sit on the edge of his seat as if he was about to stand up.

"The passion of the angry white man?
Boo-fucking-who for you!"
I express, raising my voice a little above average speaking level.

"We've been humiliated and put down for too long!"
Kai shouts, jumping up from his spot and approaching the couch we were located on.

"Trump is one of us! We will stand out bleeding in the rain and snow to vote for him!"
He shouted, standing at the back of the couch, looking down on me.

"It's all about shame and humiliation for you assholes."
I stated. Giving him a small smile as I joined his gaze, looking up at him.

"Yo! We should start some sort of like government programme to get you all laid so you'll shut up!"
I suggested, looking at my friends for their approval, and immediately meeting it.

"Actually, you probably wouldn't even need to get fucked, just some pretty girl smiling at you and telling you how important you are."
I continue, looking into Kai's rage-filled eyes and an extremely furrowed brow.

"You ever notice how all alt-righters are young men? and none of them have girlfriends?"
I ponder, Riley and Winter burst out laughing contrasting Kai's sullen expression.

"Hey Winter, uh, give me some lotion.
I'm going to give your brother a handy so-"

Maybe I'll admit I'd taken it too far at that point.
Before I was able to finish my joke, a harsh heat rose on my right cheek.

"Kai!"
Winter screamed, before tending to my assaulted cheek I looked up to see Kai's emotion changing from pure rage to sudden regret.

I used my of my hand to clutch at the side of my face, getting up from the couch swiftly.

"What the fuck Kai?"
I heard Riley scream.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that.
Are you okay?"
Kai repeated, placing his hands on my shoulders from behind.

I turned to face him, then pushed him back into the wall aggressively.

"I bet you like it rough don't you?"
I shouted at him, before turning around to run up the stairs and slam the door behind me.
