Kat's room was empty. All her roommates were probably out in the snow. It was Hogwarts's first snow day and the students treated the day like a national holiday. All the students would go out with their friends and play in the snow. Kat would usually be out avoiding snowballs from Ayla but today she was in her bed at noon.

She woke up a couple of hours ago but she refused to get out of bed. What Blair had told her yesterday was still bothering her. Her father was a death eater. She wasn't exactly sure what she was feeling. Sad? Angry? Confused? Maybe she didn't even feel anything anymore.

The girl got ready and headed out. She wouldn't let her father's wrongdoings stop her from having fun, after all, it was a snow day, and her idea of fun happened to be reading a book at the Three Broomsticks while drinking a butterbeer.

"Oh hi, Katherine!" Emmeline Vance greeted with a smile.

"Hi." Kat waved.

"Are you heading out?" Emmeline asked.

"Yeah." Kat nodded. She wondered why Emmeline wasn't out with Benjy, Xenophilius, or Pandora right now.

"Oh well, Marlene Mckinnon and Evans are out there. They said they were looking for you." She let the girl know.

"Oh really? Thanks." Kat smiled at Emmeline. Why were they looking for her? Kat had never talked to them once and they never showed any interest in her. She walked out of the common room and there she saw the two girls who were looking for her. The girls looked at Kat and Marlene smiled at her.

"Hi, Katherine!" Lily said.

"Oh hi." Kat smiled.

"We were just looking for you," Marlene said and Lily nodded. "Do you wanna come with us to Hogsmeade?" She asked and Kat looked at her with wide eyes.

"O-oh yeah sure," Kat answered.

"Great!" Marlene smiled. "Let's go."

The three girls made their way out of the castle and the snow decorated their path.
