Ch.15

Not anyone can walk in and see the hokage but it is known you are his grandchild so they let you pass. You knock on his office door. You hear a gruff come in.

You open the door to see him at his desk working on something.

"Is this a bad time grandpa?"

At your voice he looks up taking his pipe out of his mouth.

"F/n, my dear you came to visit me?"

You walk up to him and give him a hug which he returns tightly.

"You look tired Grandpa."

He laughs "I'm a old man this is how I always look."

You look at all the papers on his desk then look at him. He looks at you with such pride.

"I'm very proud of you f/n."

You smile softly "I knew you were keeping tabs on me."

"Well of course. Just because your my oldest grandchild doesn't mean you arnt my grand baby. I like to be involved when I can. I love you—"

You giggle and blush in slight embarrassment at your grandpas sappy talk.

"I love you too Grandpa."

He pats his knee, you know he wants you to sit on it like when you were younger.

"Are you sure? I'm much bigger now."

Your grandpa nods.

Nothing embarrassing here just sitting on my grandpas lap.

Hearing your comment Kira laughs.

"How's Kira?"

"She's good. We have learned a lot from eachother."

"I heard from Aiha that you are creating a demention.. that's quite the achievement."

"Aiha says I'm far above my years. I'll use my abilities to their fullest especially in the chuinin exams."

"Ah yes, your going to participate? It's coming up soon."

You nod wrapping your arm around you grandpas shoulder.

"I am. I hope I pass, then I'm going for Jonin."

"If you pass the chunin exams I'll put in a assignment for you to complete to make you a Jonin. It won't be easy though."

"Gramps I don't want special treatment.."

Your grandpa chokes on his smoke. "I would never! How do you think Aiha became a Jonin? She was assigned a task and completed it flawlessly. I'll make a note to assign you a Jonin mission with Aiha as your observer. If you make it..."

You stand up off your grandpas knee. "I will, you'll see!"

"Ah Youth! How I'd love to be young and vibrant again!"

You smile "I bet there's a jutsu for that."

"There is but it's too much trouble. Speaking of trouble you better scadattle so I can finish my work."

"It was good to see you gramps, we should do this again sometime." You kiss the old man's cheek making him smile.

"Good bye my dear."

Once you left the hokages office you can't help but to go over what you and him were talking about.

"Becoming a Jonin? So gramps can choose a mission for me to do with Aiha Sensei as my guide?.. I have a long way to go though.."

The dark sky and gentle breeze draw you in next.

"It's such a nice night.."

Not many people were still out by the time you got home. Your front door is unlocked because Aiha was supposed to be inside and to your happiness she still is.

"Sensei have you been here the entire time?"

Aiha looks up from her book "I have, I was hoping to share some news with you."

"Can it wait I need a shower."

Kira scrunches up her nose

you really do stink

"It will just take a minute. Sit down."

Aiha puts her book down after pointing at the chair with it. You cautiously sit down.

"Am I in trouble?"

Aiha shakes her head "No, just listen."

You nod "okay."

"Alright as you know Kakashi and I have been dating for years now. Well recently he has asked me something.. he's asked me to marry him and I said yes."

Your jaw drops "I'm going to have a dad!? Daddy Kakashi?!?"

Aihas eyes widen. "Don't call him Daddy please."

"Why? Is that nickname taken?" You tease making Aiha turn slightly flustered.

"So you approve?"

"Of course I do! You love eachother!" You get up and Hug Aiha who hugs you right back.

"We really do. Kakashi couldn't be here or he would have came with me to tell you."

"It's okay I understand. I'm very happy for you both. Whens the date?"

Aiha smiles "right after the chunin exams."

"Ooh fun, so I talked to grandpa. He mentioned if I pass the Chunin exams he will assign me to you for a jonin mission. He made it sound like you would pick the assignment."

Aiha picks up her book again  "that could be interesting. Oh wow look at the time. You need to shower and get to bed."

You turn to look at your clock. "It's getting late."

Aiha stands up and slowly makes her way to the front door.

"Perhaps we can train tomorrow."

"Maybe after I train with the team." You tell her.

"We don't spend much time with eachother, not like we used to" your Sensei pouts.

You giggle "if only we could run away together."

"Haha, maybe some day. Byyyeee~" and with that Aiha leaves.

You sigh "good grief, shower time."
