Ch.43

You both stand infront of the inn looking out of place.

"Aiha Sensei what do you think we will find at my clans home?"

"I don't know but I'm hoping things that will improve your skill."

You nod and look at Kira who sits in puppy form beside you.

"Maybe I can make you bigger?"

Both you and Aiha look up when you hear people approaching.

Your eyes light up when you see the red head.

"Gaara!- I mean Kazekage.."

Gaara smiles at you and holds up his hand "Gaara is fine, since we are friends."

A few of his officials look at you with unaproving looks. Gaara turns to them and so does Temari.

"Leave us."

"But—" one tries to object Gaara give him a stern look. You watch as the disbursed men walk away. Temari is the only one who stays.

"I'm not used to all of this attention.."

You smile softly "I knew you had it in you Gaara. I knew from the very first time I met you."

"You and Naruto are somewhat alike.. it's refreshing.." he says.

"Awe what a interesting puppy." Temari kneels down and lets Kira sniff her.

"That puppy is the dire wolf beast living inside me. I let her come out in a familiar form."

Gaaras eyes widen "That's Kira?"

You smile "She's scarier in her real form. I want to make her big enough to ride."

How shameful..

"She's not a fan of that idea however.."

"If you will follow me I will show you to the Makami residents ." Gaara says gesturing ahead.

You and Aiha walk ahead. Gaara walks beside you. You can't help but to feel happy things worked out for him. You glance at him and take in his features.

I still find him attractive.. but Kiba has my heart.

After a short walk of small talk you come to a large home. It look's abandoned but nothing is disturbed.

"Here's your key. Welcome home." Gaara hands me the Key to the home.

"Home huh?..."

Aiha bows to Gaara "Thank you for taking time out of your day to show us to the Makami residence."

"It's really no problem.. Their friends after all." Temari adds looking between Gaara and you.

"I'll be sure to check on you ... so we can talk.." Gaara says with a slight smile. You smile softly.

"I'd like that."

Gaara and Temari take there leave and you and Aiha start unlocking the door. it clicks and it opens. The musty smell makes you nose tingle as you step inside. It looks like what every home would if it hasn't been used a while. You even see a robe hanging from the coat rack. As you look around the entire place is dusty and sandy. There are two large book cases at the entrance of the home. In The living rests a tan coach with a pink blanket over the back. Multiple plants exist but they are all dead now. You frown as you look around.

"It's so dead in here."

You and Aiha walk around slowly taking in every thing. You walk pasted the kitchen and stop infront of a shelf there a picture of a woman with y/h/c and y/e/c she is standing with your father at the entrance of the sand village.

"Mom.."

Aiha steps nexts to you.

"Kalari ,and Ryu. (Yes that's your parents name) You look so much like her f/n. She loved you very much.."

You look down "why? I took her life did I not?"

Aiha places a hand on your shoulder. "Her body wasn't well nerished and it just gave out. You had nothing to do with it. Kira either."

"But Aiha Sensei I'm a cursed child."

Aiha frowns taking your other shoulder facing you completely.

"Yes you were cursed by birth but that doesn't mean you killed your mother. Don't let such things define you. Your so vibrant and beautiful and full of life. Don't be down on yourself.. your F/n Makami of the Hidden leaf and occasionally the sand. That's what and who you are."

You smile softly "Yeah, your right. My mom's beautiful though."

Aiha smiles "yes she was. Many looked down on her when they found out she had relations with a ninja from the hidden leaf. She didn't care though."

"Was she a ninja too?"

Aiha smiles "Yes at one time. She was a very good ninja. Top of her class like you."

You touch the picture frame and sigh. "I wish I could have known her."

"Your so much like her f/n. I see her in you every day."

You turn to fully face Aiha. "how did you two know eachother?"

"Your father introduced us, we hit it off quite well."

"Oh.. soo, where do we start?"

Aiha looks around. "The library of course."
