CHRIS' POV
The moment we got back to Texas Ora was ready to get back to normal life. She was ready to be independent and do everything herself, and get back to school. The doctor, however, disagreed. His orders were that she were to limit her activities. I knew it had to be difficult for her. Even while we were in Scranton at my house, she was never still. There was always something to do, something to clean, something to rearrange. I swear, if it weren't for me stopping her she would have rearranged that whole damn house. Aurora was fiercely independent, and the stab wounds were just a slight bump in the road for her. She hadn't snapped yet, but I knew it was coming. I knew soon she'd yell at me, and I was ready for it. The only way to keep her in bed with me was to throw on Star Wars. We had made it through the awful second trilogy that she insisted was necessary, then threw on the first trilogy, and now we were on the third trilogy. It was her favorite trilogy, and I loved watching her eyes light up as she watched it, and her small commentary about Kylo having a boner for Ray. What I did not expect was her breaking point to be when he died at the end.

"H-he j-j-just deserved so much better! How the fuck did Palpatine live all of this time, but Ben dies immediately!" She said as she cried. I wasn't sure how to comfort her during this time, but I knew there was more to this breakdown and it wasn't just about Ben Solo dying, so I pulled her onto my lap and kissed the top of her head.

"This isn't just about Ben Solo, is it?" I asked her quietly as she sobbed into my chest. She shook her head.

"I just want to do normal things again, and I want to cry without my sides hurting. And I'm never going to pass the bar exam if I keep missing class. This first year is so crucial to everything."

"Ora, you are so smart, I know you will still pass that. Besides, it's a couple years from now. You have time to prepare for that, and I promise I will help you. As far as doing normal things, you will be better soon, baby. Then you can deep clean the house, run around campus, do all the normal college kid things." I wasn't even sure if my words meant anything, or brought any comfort, but she stopped crying. Either from my words or the pain, but she stopped so I considered it a win. That's when there was a knock at the door. Odd, we weren't expecting any company that I knew of. I slid out from under Aurora and walked to our door, peaking through the peephole. It was the whole ass band. And their girls. I opened the door and stepped out.

"Guys, I really appreciate the kind gesture, but if y'all are here she's really going to overwork herself." I warned them. Shae shook her head.

"No, she won't. We're here to help. Ya know, clean, cook, all that domestic shit. Get you beer when you ask."

"I don't drink."

"Chris, don't be stubborn. Come on, man, we wouldn't be in Lubbock, Texas if we didn't care." Ryan pushed past me and walked into the house. He looked around, mouth open as he scanned everything over with his eyes. "Dude, this place is amazing! It's screams 'The Cerulli's Live Here!'"

"Ora is laying in bed still, we've been watching Star Wars for the past few days to keep her occupied. I think we're gonna do Halloween next. Y'all can come in here," I led them all into our bedroom and Ora's face lit up. She swung her legs over the edge of the bed and rushed over to them.

"Ora, take it easy, please." I reminded her. She rolled her eyes and laughed, then hugged all of them. "Please be careful with her."

"Chris, she's not made of glass." Ricky chided. I rolled my eyes at him. I didn't need him egging this on and getting Zoe's convinced that she's not still hurt.

"He's right, it's but a flesh wound." Justin added.

"It's not a flesh wound, she almost bled out. I'm just trying to make sure she doesn't get hurt again." I was frustrated at their sudden appearance and pissed at them for telling me to stop worrying so much about Aurora. I walked out of the room and headed to the back patio. Ever since we got home I had been Ora's care taker, and I needed a moment to myself to think. That's when my phone rang, interrupting my alone time. It was an unknown number which I thought was quite odd. I ignored the call. They called again. I finally picked it up.
