AURORA'S POV
About a week after the guys all got here with their girls, and a baby, I was finally doing better. The pain had subdued to a dull pain I'd feel every now and then, and the stitches were starting to dissolve, which Ricky gagged at when I showed him at breakfast.

"You should collect the bits that fall off and keep them in a jar, ya know, just for memorabilia." Vinny suggested as he took a bit of his pancake. Ricky gagged again, and I actually thought he was going to puke on the table.

"No! No sir! Go outside if you're going to puke!" I demanded as I pointed to the back door. Chris sat at the head of our elongated black table, holding my hand in his and smiling as I scolded Ricky. It earned a good cackle from everyone at the table, even through the disgust they felt at Vinny's comment. It felt good to actually be up and sitting with everyone, and I finally got meet Justin's daughter. She was only about a year old, and the most adorable thing ever. However, I stood by my previous comment of no kids ever. I couldn't deal with the constant intensity and anxiety of never knowing when things could go south. Although, Chris would make an excellent father. My thoughts were disrupted when the baby started crying. Yeah, no. Can't do it. Chris didn't seem to mind any of the chaos, though. It was like he was just used to it, and actually quite enjoyed having everyone around, especially since the holidays were coming up. They had all planned to just stay here and spend Christmas with us.

"So, I was thinking today we could get the tree set up? I did some Amazon shopping while I was bed bound, and got us a nine foot black Christmas tree, and I need help setting it up." Everyone remained quiet. "I will be making cocktails and throw on a Christmas movie." Everyone cheered at cocktails. I couldn't blame them, I needed one, too, and could finally drink since I hadn't been needing my pain medicine. I went ahead and poured some wine, and Shae and I started the tree as the guys all sat around entertained by the newborn that was in Justin's arms.

"Be honest, how hard is it to be a parent?" I asked Shae as I fluffed out a branch. She smiled, and shrugged, then looked over at them.

"Hard, yes. But worth it? Every damn day. What about you and Chris? Are y'all going to eventually have one? Ya know, be the classic family?" I never exactly thought about it. I shrugged my shoulders, stepping back to make sure everything looked right, and felt Chris wrap his arm around my waist. He kissed the top of my head, then looked up at the tree.

"You're a great tree shopper, Mrs. Cerulli." He complimented. I smiled looking up at him.

"Well thank you, Mr. Cerulli." I knocked back the rest of my wine, and he took my glass to refill it then returned it to me. Rather than playing a Christmas movie while getting the tree done I had decided to settle for an early 2000's pop playlist. It was quite entertaining to see Vinny and Ricky dance to "Oops, I Did it Again" and sing every word. I climbed to the top of the ladder to place the last few ornaments at the top, and before I knew it I had lost my footing and was falling down the ladder.

"Shit, Ora!" I heard Chris shout, running back over to catch me just in time before my body could hit the floor. His eyes were filled with fear, but I couldn't help but laugh. I mean, I was three glasses of wine deep. "Aurora, it's not funny. You could have died. Jesus Christ, no more ladders!" He scolded. Chris sat me down on the couch, then he finished off the tree excluding the black star that was left for the top of the tree. He walked over to me and handed me the star, then turned and got down in front of me.

"Get on my shoulders." He urged. I laughed a little.

"That doesn't seem very safe."

"Ora, I'm not going to let you fall. I promise." He assured me. I got on his shoulders and we went over to the tree. I could see the flashes as Shae took pictures of us together, and I placed the topper on it. I felt Chris kiss my thigh and it made me blush.

"Christopher! Not in front of everyone." I scolded. He chuckled and lowered me to the ground.
Later that night as all wound down I flicked on a movie as background noise and sat down on the floor to work on some of my law school homework. Everyone was talking amongst themselves while the baby was sat in a swing next to me. I guess having a kid wasn't too terrible. It was kind of adorable once there wasn't a bunch of screaming. By the time I had finished all my work everyone had headed to bed, leaving just Chris and me in the living room. I shut my laptop and slid it onto the coffee table, then walked over to Chris who was laying back on the recliner half asleep. I crawled on top of him and his eyes shot open. It was nice to have a moment of just him and me, no one else, the fireplace crackling. He brushed my hair back and gave me a soft kiss.

"Hello there," he said, his voice groggy. I smiled at him.

"Ah, General Kenobi," I shot back. He cackled and gave me another kiss.

"If we have a kid do you think they're going to be as nerdy as you?" Oh, God, does he want a kid now?

"Do you want a kid?" I asked him, an eyebrow raised. He shrugged.

"I wouldn't mind a mini Aurora. I think I could put up with two of you."

"Christopher Cerulli, you're crazier than I thought you were." Chris rolled his eyes at my statement and laughed a little.

"We can revisit the idea in a few years. I want more time to have you to myself, anyways. I want to be selfish with you, and I want to take you around the world."

"Where do you wanna go?" I asked as I smiled and looked up at him with my head on his chest. He shrugged again.

"Anywhere is fine with me as long as I have you by my side."
