"Nyeh, you're such a pain, you know that?" The girl spat.

"Ehh.... I don't really care." The boy slumped on the table, his fourth cup of coffee in hand.

The girl sighed, placing her book on the old wooden desk. "you sure you don't want to take a break, Kokichi?"

"Ehh... I would say yes ... But I also somehow have all C's and B's which are the highest grades I've ever gotten. I don't want to lose them.." he muttered, taking a long sip outta his mug.

"Yes, yes, of course.." Himiko mumbled. The girl rested her head on her hand, staring at the boy next to her.

It was a very unique relationship between the two. Also a relationship anybody from Hopes Peak wouldn't believed had they been told about it. Kokichi Ouma and Himiko Yumeno? Psh, now that's a wild one!

Yet, somehow, the two became unlikely friends. Though everywhere they went they always had to start some sort of fight, they had grown rather close to each other through the few months they attended their college university.

At first, Himiko didn't want anything to do with Kokichi. He was a troublemaker, and she knew that very well. She was determined to make college great, and she didn't need Kokichi in it to mess it up.

But, then she and Kokichi got the same classes. It was dreading at first, but Himiko knew she could just sit next to anybody else. It was a big lecture hall, after all.

And big it was.

Because the minute Himiko made her first step in, she was horrified. Hundreds of students gathered around looking for seats, talking about things, each one seemed to have a friend - and she didn't.

She became scared almost immediately. What if she became a lonely loser? What would she do? She missed having Tenko and Angie around. She missed Maki and Kaede.

She scanned the room for an empty seat a little far away from other people. But she couldn't find one!

'Oh no, no, no, no, no! This is bad! This is so, so bad!' She scampered around, searching for a place to sit down.
Then she saw him. Kokichi's sitting near the corner of the room, drawing in a notebook.

'Mabye.. ah, no Himiko! You can't sit with him!' she cranes her neck around to look around the room one last time. 'But... Ugh! Whatever, I'll make him pay if he does anything, so it's fine!"

She sighed, gulping down her pride as she silently slipped into the seat next to him.

"Eh? Himiko-"

"Shut it, Ouma." She harshly spoke, a hit of pink dusted on her cheeks. "I had no other choice, ok?"

"Haha. Funny you say that, same here." He yawned. "Oh well. It's ok. At Least we know each other right..?"

"Yeah, whatever, I guess."

He smiled slightly, tapping his pencil a little before returning to his drawing of a penguin riding a wave on a surfboard.

The lecture went over fast, surprisingly. She found herself at the next day, again sitting with Kokichi. And then the next. And the next. And the one after that.

Eventually, hanging around Kokichi became her everyday life. And here she was, in the library working and researching a project on how the Panta company made so much money.

The grapes eyes scanned the book under him, dark bags under his eyes. They both knew very well that college was a complete Hassel, both dealing with many all nighters they had to pull, and weekends full of nothing but work and research.

"Alright, Kokichi. You know what?" She spoke softly, closing her book and grabbing the other book to close and stuff in her bag.
"H-Hey! Himiko-!"

"Shut up, Kokichi, I'm tired and researching is a pain, and we both know we both pulled all nighters last night!"

"Well, not exactly an all nighter, I dozed off for a few minutes before-"

"Still counts."

"Ugh."

The girl smiled.

"Let's go get some rest please?"

"Awhhh, Himiko cares about me? How sweet of you, strawberry." He smirked, laying his head down all the way in his arms.

"Hmph, just shut up, will you? And can we go now, because I really need a nap."

"Yes, yes, whatever you say shortcake." He mumbled lightly, making Himiko smile.

College was hard. College was exhausting. College was..

Not so bad, when you had Kokichi Ouma around.
