TW: mention of sexual assault

Harry and Krystel roam silently through the woods on their way to Anne's. For the last few days he has felt the need to finally speak up with his mother, his life is in danger and he never wants to die without having a clarifying conversation beforehand. Harry doesn't kid himself, if it's not the pack of Jeff that's killing him, it's the Council of Elders. Although he promised Louis that he would never leave him alone, he secretly doesn't believe he can keep his promise. His main focus is that he at least makes sure that Louis and the pack come out of it unscathed. And maybe even his child. Nervousness and insecurity spread through him, and so he lets his hand roam the bushes and trees they pass, trying, as always to be calmed by his beloved nature. Krystal keeps glancing at him sideways, a worried look on her face. "I can smell your displeasure, Harry," she finally says, it's not far to their tree house. Harry nods and stops, letting his gaze wander through the forest, "The situation leaves little hope for me... Krystal, can you promise me something?"

"What exactly?" she asks, her brow furrowing under her bangs.

"If it comes to the worst - and I die...you have to take care of Louis. Make sure he's safe, nothing can happen to him!" he pleads and walks towards her, touching her arm to emphasize his words. Krystal looks at him pitifully, but the next moment her face changes into a defiant expression, "I promise you. But it won't come to that. Nobody dies in my pack, I'll take care of that! Come on, let's go. The conversation with Anne is long overdue!"

She walks on with quick steps and Harry looks after her dumbfounded. He wants so badly to believe the leader, but his fears are too great. He sighs and hurries after her. His thoughts wander to Louis, who has been a nervous and anxious mess since the evening. He actually wanted to go with them to Anne's to support Harry, but he persuaded him to stay at home so as not to stress him out even more, who knows what more will come to light today. Instead, he brought him to Helene and asked her to look after him and calm the Omega. On the way back he wants to collect herbs and mix something soothing for Louis, he is too worried about his partner.

They finally reach the tree house. Krystal looks up with an admiring look and Harry also lets his eyes wander over their house and the others nearby. He sees one of the neighbor's fairies waving at him in a friendly way and he waves back with a smile. It's good to be back here, the quarrel with Anne put a lot of strain on him, as he now realizes with full force. "How do we get up there?" Krystal asks, tearing him out of his thoughts.
"We fly. Hold on to me," he murmurs and spreads his arms. At first she hesitates a little, seems undecided about the physical contact, but then shrugs her shoulders and hugs him tightly around his waist. He releases his wings, which initially flap wildly in freedom, and puts his arms around Krystal. It's weird having someone else in his arms than Louis and it makes him miss his little wolf at that moment. But he remembers what lays ahead and flies upstairs with Krystal, who quickly breaks the embrace when they have reached the top. She shakes herself slightly and looks down from the porch anxiously, "Height scares me. I couldn't live like this," she admits quietly and Harry can't help but giggle. "You are afraid of something? I never thought that was possible!" Harry says, patting her lightly on the shoulder. Krystal gives him a mischievous grin and says, "Don't let anyone know!"

Harry closes his mouth shut like it's a zipper and grins back. But their faces quickly become serious again and they nod to each other like a quiet agreement to talk to Anne. Harry is unsure whether he can just come in after the argument and so he decides to knock on the door. A short time later it opens and Anne looks at him with wide eyes. "Harry!" she exclaims, tears forming in her eyes. She walks uncertainly towards him and hugs him gently. Harry sighs in the embrace and hugs her tightly back. No matter what happened, it's his mother and he missed her.
"Can we go in and talk?" Krystal interrupts softly. Anne breaks away from the hug, wipes away her tears and nods. She lets the two go ahead and then closes the door. Harry leads Krystal into the living room and they take a seat on the sofa while Anne collapses into the armchair across from them.
