Chapter 1: The Darkin Aegis

Ever since Jaune saved Cardin's life from that Ursa things haven't gone the way he hoped it did every teacher wants him dead, all of the first year students bullied him, Ruby, Nora, Velvet were disappointed at Jaune, Yang, Lie, Coco would beat him up for possibly getting anyone killed, Fox, Yatsuhashi, Blake ignored him, Pyrrha and Weiss would always insult him, the only one who cared was Ozpin but he couldn't do anything since the council was being a pain to him. Jaune's mother arrived the other day and took Corcea Mors from Jaune and gave it to his twin sister Jenna who also replaced his role as the new leader of team JNPR. In sadness Ozpin told Jaune that should clear his head so Jaune walked into the Emerald forest since well it's the only place where Jaune can have peace and not get harassed by anyone. As he walked around Jaune couldn't understand it but he feels as if he's being watched by something or someone. He would keep on looking over his shoulder to see if anyone was following him, when suddenly Jaune's scroll rang, Jaune saw it was Ozpin calling me, Jaune sighed as he answered the call

"Hello? Headmaster Ozpin?

"Please Jaune, just call me Ozpin"

"Okay.... Ozpin, what is it?"

"I was able to convince the council to let you stay, but that's IF you beat Pyrrha Nikos in a duel first"

"So I guess they want to know if I am worth keeping or no?"

"Unfortunately it's the latter, they expect you to lose against ms. Nikos"

"I see.... I'll talk to you again later Ozpin"

"Alright and the duel begins tomorrow"

"I'll keep that in mind"

Jaune ended the call as he grip his scroll a bit too tight suddenly Jaune could feel a strong pull, a sense that made him follow it, it lead him to a cave, the same cave where him and Pyrrha met the Deathstalker for the first time. As Jaune followed the "path" Jaune suddenly felt a strong force, Jaune's instincts telling me to run, but instead Jaune went after it, that's when Jaune saw a stone pedestal, and on top of it was a shield with the colors red, white, and gold

"Woah" Is what all Jaune said as he touched the shield, suddenly he started feeling weaker and weaker until he eventually passes out

Hours later Jaune woke up, gotten up and looked around and saw nothing but a white void all around him "Where.... where am I?" Jaune said to himself

"We are in your mind, child" A distorted voice said startling Jaune, Jaune looked around worried seeing nothing but a white void around him until his eyes met the gaze of a creature that he has never seen in his entire life

The creature looked at him as it spoke in a growling tone "Greetings human, I am Joraal, Captain of the Golden God Warriors"

While Jaune was completely terrified he had to respond "I... I am Jaune Ar- actually no it's just.... Jaune now"

"Good" Joraal said as he raises his hand as a sword manifested in his hand "Die now" Joraal said as Jaune dodged the attack and started running away from Joraal

"Pesky worm" Joraal's wings spread as he took flight and caught up to Jaune, Joraal crash towards Jaune but missed, though the impact caused a shockwave that caused Jaune trip and fall

Jaune got up and looked behind him and saw Joraal slowly getting up as Jaune ran again 'Is this really the end!? Am I gonna die here!?' Jaune said to himself as he suddenly remembered what Joraal said 'Mind.... he's in my mind? Wait....' Jaune stopped as he thought of Corcea Mors, that's when the sword and shield appeared in both his hands, suddenly Jaune realizes something he turned around to look at Joraal who was nowhere to be seen until Jaune looked up and saw nothing
