Chapter 5: The Darkin Ballista

It was just another day Jaune was eating in the cafeteria in a table all alone and many students glaring at him but he was more focused on his talk with Ozpin yesterday since it has given him more questions than answers but was suddenly interrupted

'What do you call this delicacy, Jaune?' Joraal asked telepathically, as the Darkin liked the taste of Jaune's food

Jaune chuckled 'Its pancakes with honey and butter, has this never existed in Shurima?' Jaune replied in his mind

'We only had bread and fish in Shurima, I like the taste of fish but this pancake taste great for a food without any meat, and bread was my least preferred' Joraal replied, this made Jaune chuckle, Darkins are seen as gods of chaos and destruction and here's one praising the taste of pancakes

However Jaune's mood was interrupted

"Something funny Arc?" A certain blonde brawler replied as Jaune stayed silent, he really didn't want to talk with them nor have to deal with their crap

Jaune's silence gave the opposite reaction of what Jaune wanted cause instead he was struck by a box of milk to which he didn't bother responding to and just ignored it as a certain team was heard laughing

Joraal however didn't let this off as he immediately posed Jaune's body making Jaune stand up and turned around and saw Cardin and his team laughing at him

"What's wrong Arc? Too weak to fight back?" Cardin mocked as Jaune slowly walked towards him

"You grew some balls Arc? Fine then let me show you your place" Cardin said as he approached Jaune

Many were ready to laugh at Jaune getting beaten up and thought that he somehow cheated with his weapon in yesterday's fight with Pyrrha

Cardin punched Jaune in the face, only for nothing to happen, Cardin's eyes widen as he grabbed his hand and started screaming in pain

Jaune(Joraal) immediately grabbed Cardin by his collar dragging him below Jaune's height which shocked everyone in the cafeteria, Cardin's team were too shocked to even help him

"Wait Jaune.... that was just a joke" Cardin tried to save himself but Joraal wasn't that dumb to believe him

Jaune(Joraal) headbutted Cardin sending him out of the cafeteria while leaving an imprint of Cardin through the wall, this shocked everyone wondering how a weak faker like him could do such damage

Everyone was interrupted by VNN program, which showed a woman in a suit reporting from a field

"Goodmorning people of Vale, this is Lisa Lavender speaking live in Patch island where a Ballista suddenly appeared out of nowhere in a wheat field owned by a family of three causing large amounts of GRIMM to suddenly appear in the area" Lisa said as the cameraman shows the Ballista in question causing Jaune's eyes to widen from its design realizing the weapon to be a Darkin, Jaune ran out of the cafeteria confusing many students

Joraal stopped possessing Jaune's body as Jaune grabbed his scroll and contacted Ozpin while running towards his office

Ozpin picks up "You saw the news?" Ozpin said not surprising Jaune

"Yeah.... got a ride for me?" Jaune asked

"I can warp you there and pick you up in the aftermath" Ozpin replied

Jaune sighs in relief "Thank you Ozpin"

Jaune ends the call and saw Glynda infront of the elevator the doors opened but as Glynda was about to enter she was suddenly pushed aside by Jaune falling onto the ground, the doors close as it ascended up to Ozpin's office while leaving a confused and pissed Glynda at the bottom
