Chapter 2: darkin vs spartan

Later that night Jaune was up on the dormitory rooftop where was practicing on conjuring Joraal's shield, so far that's the easiest thing he could do, Jaune wondered what other thing's he can do with Joraal's power especially since he has a fight against Pyrrha tomorrow

Joraal meanwhile was intrigued about what has happened since has last roamed the world but he is more focused on the fact that Jaune still has aura, which should be impossible since a person's body would be incinerated into ash if they were to wield a Darkin weapon without aura, those with aura are able to survive from the transfusion but the the user and the Darkin would have to fight for control or come to an understanding and work together to surivive

The next day in the arena we see many first year students have gathered for Jaune's beatdown and expulsion from Beacon Academy in the hands of Pyrrha Nikos, Ozpin was there to watch the ordeal after yesterday's discovery, he felt a powerful force in his academy and pin pointed it to Jaune, Ozpin knew of the power Jaune is holding but he is worried that he might rampage into the city below rather than worry of his own students

In the arena Pyrrha herself was waiting for Jaune to arrive and so was Goodwitch who was getting impatient moments later Jaune arrived walking down and going into the arena without a weapon, some students began to laugh at him while others would mock him

Joraal felt enraged but kept calm because Jaune wouldn't want to use his powers for his own personal vendetta against the other students

Joraal looked at Pyrrha, her outfit and weapon of choice reminded him of two people he despised

'She looks like a child born from the aspect of the sun and the aspect of war, and here I thought that the sun and moon would be together.... guess I lost that bet with Praa' Joraal thought of remembering a time before he became a Darkin, to when he was still a sunborn a protector to Shurima but was left to the dust when his city fell and the people turned to sand

Joraal was interrupted from his thoughts when Goodwitch started speaking

"Well mr. Arc it seems you are late and without a weapon, either way the duel between Pyrrha Nikos vs Jaune begins.... NOW!" Goodwitch yelled as Pyrrha immediately charged towards Jaune

As she was inches close to him, Jaune raised his arm as a shield conjured from his risk blocking Pyrrha's attack while shocking everyone while Ozpin gritted his teeth

'Joraal' Ozpin said to himself seeing the shield in Jaune's arm

"Wh-what? How!?" Pyrrha yelled in shocked as Jaune charges towards her bashing his shield onto her as Pyrrha was sent flying hitting the ground hard a few times, she got up feeling more shocked that Jaune was able to send her flying with his shield

Jaune began to slowly walk towards Pyrrha as she got up and charged at him again, Jaune raises his shield to block her attack, she goes for another swing but gets blocked again, she tries again but fails then again and again and again, she kept on attacking but Jaune managed to block all of her attacks with his shield

Feeling frustrated Pyrrha jumped back to get a distance between her and Jaune "HOW COULD YOU BE LIKE THIS YOU FAKER!? ANSWER ME!" She yelled in anger wanting to know how he got better

"Why would you want to know?" Jaune said casually

"I WANT TO KNOW HOW A WEAK FAKER LIKE YOU COULD GET THIS STRONG?" She yelled again but Jaune instead laughed as a response shocking a lot of people while angering the rest

"Did I get stronger or did you get weaker?" Jaune said with a smile pissing Pyrrha off as she angrily charged at him

Wanting to end this fight, Jaune side stepped her attack as she was about to pass him, Jaune immediately punched her sending Pyrrha to the ceiling, as she fell back down Jaune kicked her into the stand knocking her out of the arena

No one could say anything, they all turned to look at the aura bar, while Pyrrha was at 38%, Jaune has 91% of his aura, clapping was then heard in the arena as Ozpin is seen walking down into the arena

"I think I've seen enough, Jaune after seeing your improvement in combat, I will be keeping you here in Beacon academy as a lone wolf, you'll be your own team for now until I can find you 3 more members to form your own team" Ozpin said shocking everyone but Jaune

"Thank you headmaster" Jaune said as he walked away

Ozpin turned to Glynda "Take ms. Nikos to the infirmary, I need to have a private chat with Jaune" Ozpin said as he followed Jaune

Goodwitch sighed as she used her semblance to take Pyrrha to the infirmary while the students were left in shock to what had just occurred

News of Pyrrha's defeat spread quickly across the academy as many upper year students praised Jaune for his improvement and victory while the first years accused him of cheating somehow

Back with Jaune, as he walked through the halls of Beacon, he could feel someone's presence behind him, he turned around and saw Ozpin walking towards him

"Jaune, a word in my office please" Ozpin said as Jaune nodded, they both arrived at the tower where Ozpin and Jaune sat down on two chairs facing each other with a glass coffee table between them, Ozpin poured a mug of coffee for Jaune, as Jaune accepted the coffee and took a sip from it

There was a long level of silence between the two, that is until Ozpin broke the silence

"Tell me Jaune, where did you find Joraal?"

2. Made up my mind with Jaune's having the twin angels as his lovers

3. There are 8 more Darkins that not many would expect, half of them not being major characters for the story

4. There will be 2 acts for this story before Jaune faces off against Xolaani

Act II - Across the Stars

5. Joraal is only a shield than a shield AND sword, why this change? Cause the main Darkin weapon for Joraal is a shield while the sword is.... just there
