Enna's pov

Corpse and I enter the house and sit down immediately on the couch. Since my heart is still beating as fast as humanly possible and my stomach is killing me, I reach into my pocket and open my metal case only to find no joints left laying in it.

"Fuck!" I groan and lean back, throwing the case onto the table.

"Didn't you bring more?" Corpse asks, putting his hand in my leg to comfort me.

"No. I didn't think I'd smoke much since I thought this'd be completely stress free!" I shut my eyes.

"So did I really. I want to just up and leave at this point but Sykkuno and I promised Rae we'd atleast give this a go." He shrugs and gets comfortable.

"What? I though sykkuno was down for it too?" I look over. He shakes his head.

"No I mean, he didn't mind too much but he said he had a bad feeling and thought the ad was sketchy when it came up on Rae's phone. Rae basically dragged him along and I just said I'd go with her." Corpse explains, now man spreading, trying to get comfortable.

"You in pain again?" I soften my gaze, feeling horrible for the pains he gets.

"Hm... Yea. I uh... Yea." He nods, looking almost uncomfortable to talk about it so I don't bring it up again.

"GUYS!" Tyler runs in the front door.

We both look over at him.

"What?" I ask.

"J-just come look." He seems troubled so Corpse and I stand up, walking over to the front door.

We follow Tyler out and down the porch steps. He leads us to the chicken coop where Sasha, Rachell, Ein and Sykkuno are stood.

"What the fuck?" Corpse goes wide eyed.

"We saw a horse like that!" I recall.

Infront of us, laid on the grass in a pool of their own blood, was chickens all gutted out, even the chicks. I notice Tyler gipping and looking away. I can tell he's a squeamish one.

I stare intensely at the animals before us.

"What animal does this to one horse and multiple chickens but leaves the rest of the animals?" Rachell shakes her head.

"I don't know." Sykkuno seems frozen in place.

I look up at corpse and he looks at me.

"It's probably nothing." He mumbles, unsure of what to feel or think by the looks of things.

I nod and just hug him, confused and frightened. He hugs me back, maybe even tighter than I hugged him.

"You'll be alright." He whispers into my hair and plants a gently kiss on my head that makes my face heat up. I bury my reddened face deeper into his body and smile a little.

We all sit in the living room in complete silence, waiting to see who breaks it first. I close my tired, sore eyes and lean into corpse who then props me up a second and then puts his arm around me to my surprise.

"So... I heard the bathhouse is really nice. I might go in at some point." Sasha breaks the aggonising silence.

"Yea, Vinny said it was nice. I'd like to try it too. The showers here have no pressure at all." Tyler joins in.

"Personally I don't like baths much but it'd be cool to see what it's like." Sykkuno explains, running a hand through his hair.

"I agree, but did you guys get told about the radio tower by the way?" Rachell asks.

"No?" I shake my head.

"Yea Ricky said it's in the woods so there's no way we're gonna check it out but he said that's where the signal is if we lost it in here." She explains.

"Could've told us before we freaked out over not having internet." Sasha pulls a face.

"I know but we weren't going there right?" Rae squints.

"No I guess not." Sasha nods.

I think about it for a second. What would Ricky need to tell us about a radio tower for? I don't get it. We'd never be using it.

"Don't you think it's weird that he told you about it if we weren't gonna be using it?" I speak up. Everyone looks at me.

"I guess so but not really. He just wants us to be familiar with our surroundings." Tyler shrugs.

"Ah true." I nod in agreement, "then it's just my mind overthinking." I shrug.

"You know what guys? I think I'm gonna go for a bath. I've been thinking about the bath house allllll day and I need to go. I'll be back soon." Sasha stands up.

"Well I'll leave the door unlocked for you then because I am off to bed." Ein stands up, stretching.

"Mhh me too!" Rachell gets up.

"Well we may aswell all go to bed. If you need anything, corpse and I will probably be up." I rise to my feet and crack my neck and knuckles.

"Kaayyy! See you guys!" Sasha waves at us and exits the home.

"Did she even grab a towel?" Sykkuno looks around the room at us all.

"There should be towels in there I'd imagine." Tyler waves his hand about.

After splitting into our room, I walk into corpses room after getting changed.

"I might actually be able to sleep tonight, I'm so tired!" I yawn and stretch, closing the door with my hip.

"Me too actually. I'm absolutely shattered." Corpse nods, yawning because he watched me do so moments before. I walk round to my side of the bed and get under the covers. Corpse puts his phone on charge and then flicks off the light, getting into bed and by the sounds of things, taking off his mask.

"Uhm... When you wake up, don't look at me." He mumbles.

"I won't. I respect your privacy." I say. That seems to calm him as he relaxes and gets under the covers properly.

"I'm really glad I met you, Enna." He mutters. I turn over to face him though I can't see at all.

"And I'm glad I met you. Honestly I thought I'd come here to make friends or leave with no one and top myself." I chuckle.

He stays quiet, probably unsure of what to say.

"I'm sorry... I didn't know that was your mindset." He sighs.

"It's fine. I've been like it for as long as I can remember since I left Mak. It doesn't bother me but now I have people like you and the others, I think I'm a lot happier than I have been in years." I pull the covers to my shoulder and shut my eyes.

"I'm glad. I hope I can keep you this happy." He says softly.

I smile to myself.

Me too Corpse, me too. I haven't felt this good in ... Ages. I can't remember a time I had been this happy in the last few years.
