You could say you were avoiding Demetri. You and Demetri have been bestfriends since kindergarten. You started to develop feelings for him in highschool. Your feelings just kept getting stronger and stronger so now you've been avoiding him. You hate the fact you love him because you know it's gonna ruin y'all's relationship (or so you think) so avoiding him is the best option. Even though your ruining your relationship doing this but not your point.
Your currently hiding in the girls bathroom after you noticed Demetri coming your way. You hide in there for about 5 mins. You walk out thinking the coast is clear but as soon you exited you were met by Demetri with a confused look on his face.
D- Why are you avoiding me?
You just stood there.
D- Come on Y/N you know you can tell me anything...
Butterflies erupted in your stomach at his words. This is why you have been avoiding him!
Y/N- I've gotta go...
You sped off leaving Demetri there hurt and confused. His best friend was avoiding him and he didn't know why. It especially hurt because he's in love with you like you are with him.
*Skip 3 hrs*
You were walking down the hallway when someone grabbed you and brought you into the janitor's closet. You screamed and punched the person who grabbed you.
D- Ouch!
You gasped when you realized it was Demetri. You turned on the light. He was holding his nose.
Y/N- I'm so sorry...
You got close to him and pulled his hands away from his nose. It wasn't bleeding but it was red.
You gently touched it and his winced.
Y/N- I'm sorry but maybe next time don't drag me into a dark janitor's closet.
He just frowned.
D- What else was I supposed to do you've been avoiding me for weeks Y/N and I can't figure out why or what I did to make you avoid me.
You sighed.
Y/N- You didn't do anything wrong Demi...
He was getting frustrated.
D- THEN WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!
You jumped Demi doesn't yell often and he's never really yelled at you. He noticed your reaction and his demeanor changed.
D- I'm so-
But you cut him off.
Y/N- I've been avoiding you because I hate the fact that I fell in love with you! I hate that whenever you talk to me I get butterflies. Every time we hug my heart beats faster. Every time you compliment me my face heats up. I hate it! I hate it! Because I know damn well you don't feel that same and it's gonna ruin our friendship and I can't stand to lose you!
You felt as like a weight came off your shoulders after saying that. You looked at Demetri and he was stunned.
D- You're in love with me?
You nodded and looked down at the ground.
The next thing you know you felt his lips on yours. You were shocked at first but then kissed back. You felt sparks all throughout your body. He pulled away and grabbed your hands.
D- I also hate the fact that I fell in love with you...
You chuckled.
Y/N- So you're in love with me?
He nodded.
D- Have been for years...
You smiled and smashed your lips on his again.
You pulled away.
Y/N- So what does this mean?
He just smiled and smashed his lips on yours again. He pulled away and looked in your eyes.
D- Y/N will you be my girlfriend?
You nodded yes and kissed him again. Your kiss was interrupted by the door opening and janitor coming in.
J- Ew get out...
You and Demetri ran out dying laughing.
Y/N- Well that was embarrassing...
He nodded yes aggressively. Then he took your hand and intwined your fingers together and y'all walked down the hallway hand in hand....
