You paced up and down the hallway of the hospital waiting for some answers.
C- Y/N hun sit down...
You nodded at Carmen. You and her have been here for hours waiting for the doctors to tell you some answers about Miguel. He got into a massive school balcony and was thrown on the railing and smashed his back on the railing of the stairs. You were terrified for him.
D- Mrs.Diaz...
You and Carmen looked towards the doctor and Carmen patted your thigh before getting up and walking over to the doctor to talk to him.
*Skip 20 mins*
Carmen walked back over to you with tears streaming down her face. You instantly started to tear up with her.
Y/N- What's wrong?!? Is he alive?
You choked on your last few words.
C- He's alive but...they don't think he'll be able to walk again...if he does it's gonna take a lot of work.
You sobbed. You felt as Carmen wrapped her arms around you while you both sobbed into each others arms.
*Skip 5 hrs*
You finally are able to see Miguel. They were only letting one person in at a time so you let everyone go ahead of you because you knew that you would want to be able to stay the longest. You gently knocked on the door while you opened it. You saw Miguel smile at you with tears streaming down his face. You instantly started crying as well. You walked over to him and grabbed his hand in yours and intertwined them. Then you took your free hand and gently brought it up to his cheek and started stroking it which he melted into.
*Skip 15 mins*
You were just playing with Miguel's hair softly trying to get him to fall asleep knowing that he needs to rest.
M- Y/N...
You looked into his eyes and noticed he was started to tear up again.
M- They don't think I'll be able to walk. If I somehow manage too it's gonna be a stupid long recovery and I- I...don't know how I'm gonna do it...I- I..
His words were cut off with a sob coming out from his mouth.
M- I'm scared...I'm fucking terrified.
You were crying now as well. You gently laid down in the hospital bed with him. You were surprised on how big it was.
You snuggled into his side softly and leaned your head on his shoulder and you took one of his hands on yours and intertwined them.
Y/N- Miguel it's ok to be scared. You've been through a lot but don't give up. You can do it and I know you will be able too. You will be able to o walking again and hell you'll be able to do karate again I'm betting on it. I will be with you the whole way. You will never be alone. You will get through this...we will do it together.
You sat up softly and looked at his face to see him smiling. You gently took your sleeve and wiped your tears and his as well. You looked into his eyes.
Y/N- Together...we will get through this together.
He smiled and made a pucker face with his lips. You gently leaned down and kissed his lips softly. Then you pulled away.
M- I love you so much Y/N...
You smiled and kissed his cheek.
Y/N- I love you so much as well...
He smiled and yawned. You gently stroked his cheek.
Y/N- Ok you need to get some rest so I'm gonna go.
You were about to sit up but Miguel grabbed you wrist. You turned around.
M- Stay please...
You smiled and laid back down and snuggled into his side softly while your head rested on his shoulder while his head rested on yours. He gently kissed your head before closing his eyes and almost instantly falling asleep. You stayed awake for awhile then you were about to fall asleep when a nurse came in. She looked at you too and smiled. You smiled back.
N- Well I just came in to check if he was sleeping. But I'll be back with an extra blanket.
You smiled and mouthed thank you. She came back in with a blanket and she put it over top both of you and then on her way out she shut off the lights. You smiled and sighed contently before closing your eyes and falling asleep as well...
