(A/N) This story will be in Bella's POV unless stated otherwise!

"Would you do me the honors?"

I let him take my hand in both of his stone-cold ones. He bows his head in concentration. His eyes snap back up to mine, the crimson quickly fading to black. Edward growls.

My head snaps up as a shiver rolls through my body.

"Shhh, Bella it's okay. We're on our way back to Forks. It was just a nightmare," Edward says as he kisses the top of my head, cradling me closer to him. His cold skin making me shiver again. I look out the window of the plane at the clouds going by us. I wish I could look at this view forever. I close my eyes and let sleep wash over me.

...

I am pulled from my warm sleep to muffled shouting. I open my eyes blinking my surroundings into focus. I am in the passenger seat of Edward's Volvo. Charlie is toe-to-toe with Edward outside my door. Alice is standing a few feet behind her brother with Jasper's hand in her firm grip. Her eyes flicker to me and she winks knowingly.

I fling the door open and I stumble my way out of the car and into Edward's arms.

"Dad stop. I've forgiven Edward and so should you," I say. I make a mental note of how false it sounds. Have I truly forgiven him?

"I will devote my time to reearning Bella's trust Chief Swan. She has me until she should order me away." Edward says, really laying the guilt on thick. I feel a gentle wave of calm wash over me and my mouth turns slightly upward as I side-eye Jasper. He smirks back at me.

Charlie grumbles a reply and turns to walk back in the house. I lean up and quickly kiss Edward on the cheek.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" I ask. I need my space to process everything that just happened. Having him hover wouldn't help.

"Goodnight Bella," he whispers and kisses the top of my head. I slowly walk inside and close the door. Finally. Peace. I slump against the door and rub my eyes.  Today has been a lot to process. I'm grateful for the alone time to think. I walk upstairs to my room and collapse on my bed.
