My head spins and I stagger back a little. I look at Edward, his head is bowed in shame.
"Did you know?" The calm voice not matching the inner panic I was feeling. He nodded his head, not even able to look at me.
"I thought you said you were my mate?" The Volturi guard chuckled. Clearly amused at Edward's lies. "All this time I trusted you and you lied to me!" my anger at everything he's done rose to the surface. I was nearly shouting and the rage must have been obvious. Esme and Carlisle looked at me disbelievingly but made no sign to stop me.
"Bella please, I'm sorry-"
"Oh, you're sorry? You're sorry now that people are finally telling me things instead of keeping me in the dark like you always have? I don't want your apologies, Edward," When I finished I was seething.
"Bella, Aro would like to spend time with you. How long do you need to say your goodbyes? Travel, of course, will be arranged for you, and upon arriving in Volterra, you will be taken shopping. Everything else Aro will discuss with you upon your arrival," Jane's small voice soothed my anger.
"A week is all I should need. To make a convincing lie to my dad. You guys will take care of Charlie right?" I said looking to Carlisle.
"Of course Bella. Anything for you."
"Thank you, Carlisle. You're amazing."
