I woke with a start and sat up rubbing the tiredness from my eyes. I had the dream again the same one from the plane. However, this time it was more like what really happened. When Aro looked up at me he looked up slowly and his eyes softened slightly as their color changed. The only thing that had been soft about the ruthless vampire king  I thought. 

I climbed out of bed and decided today was going to be a productive cleaning day. I grabbed my laundry basket and threw a load in the washer. I emptied and replaced the bag in the trash can by my desk. I stacked some of the scattered books and journals laying around my room on the corner of my desk. As I was cleaning Edward's growl came to mind. What had Aro thought that had made Edward react that way? Was he thinking of me as lunch? How had Aro reacted to the growl? I thought hard as my brain fogged around the memory. His eyes snapped up and gone was the black. A deep crimson with almost a faint glow shot a hard glare at Edward. His lips twitched in amusement as he stretched his hand out to Edward. Had he been amused at Edward's reaction to his thoughts? I guess I would just have to ask him when I saw him next.

"Are you sure you want to know the answer to that?" I jumped a mile and spun around to face the intruder. Edward stood leaning against the now open window. 

"You almost gave me a heart attack!" I say placing my hand over my heart and taking a few deep breaths. "I'm assuming Alice?" I ask.

"Indeed," Edward said walking towards me. "Aro wanted you to join the Volturi. He's...intrigued by your potential powers. He was thinking of turning you." 

"I already know that," I said a bit impatiently.

"He wants to be the one to turn you Bella," Edward said. He sighed and looked at our hands intertwined between us. He had grabbed mine while talking.

"I know that too," I was done hearing things I already knew. "Just go back home Edward. He'd said that himself that wouldn't have made you react like that. I need time to think." He frowned slightly.

"I'm sorry Bella," he kissed my head and jumped out the window, disappearing into the day. I don't like being mad at Edward but he keeps everything from me. He doesn't trust me with stuff. That has to be it. After everything he's said and done he must truly not trust me.
