The Hope of Beacon Hills III

"His eyes were glowing." Scott says

"There was something almost ritualistic about it. Like it was looking into his soul." Chris says

"That's the same thing it did to me." Isaac says

"That's what it did to everyone." Hope says

"Not everyone. They only came after the werewolves." Scott says

"And Lydia." Allison says

"Anyone with a connection to the supernatural." Chris says

"They didn't come after me." Hope says

"Yet. Yesterday I spent all day trying to track down a man that might know what are these. Kamatashi."

"Looks like he doesn't want to be found." Isaac says and points to the wound on Chris' forehead

"Not particularly, no."

"What if he doesn't want to talk?" Allison asks

"I'll show him this."

Chris opens a box and it's a broken mask. It looks like the one that these guys wore at the fight.

"Where did you get this?" Hope asks

"I fought them when I was 18. That's how I know Kamatashi. He was there."

"What was behind the mask?" Scott asks

"Darkness...absolute darkness."

The next day, at school:

"I don't need anyone to protect me." Scott says

"Have you seen the way they looked at you?" Aiden asks

"He is right." Hope agrees

"Argent said that they only appear in the dark." Scott says

"I still think you need protection." Aiden keeps insisting

"Okay, but at least let me talk to Stiles about last night. Without you."

"No."

"It's okay. I will go with him." Hope says

"You sure? You're not so strong." Aiden says

"I can kick your ass all day."

"Okay, let's not start a fight. We are on the same side." Ethan says

"Scott? Scott! I need you to come with me." Stiles tells Scott panicked

Scott and Hope follow him to the Chemestry class.

"Remember the key that I was telling you about? I don't have it anymore. And...and the...the whiteboard....everything is gone." Stiles was  saying while trembling.

"Stiles, are you okay? You look really tired." Hope says

"Not really."

"Why don't you go home and take a sick day or something?" Scott asks

They meet again the twins.

"So, did you tell him?" Aiden asks

"No, he's got his own demons now." Scott answers "Now, if you excuse me, I have a date."

"What?"

"Just let him, okay?" Hope says and takes her phone to call Lydia. "Hey, what's up? Listen, would you like to meet up?"

Hope and Lydia meet for a milkshake.

"I'm surprised you called."

"Well, everyone is busy. Allison's with her father looking for answers, Scott has a date and Stiles is not feeling well, so I had no other option."

"Since the breakup, obviously. Sorry...I know it sucks. Especially that there's something definetely between him and Allison, which annoys you even more."

"It doesn't."

"Don't lie to me. I would've acted the same way."

"It's just that...he seems like he never actually loved me."

"That's not true. I think it's just his idea to move on faster by looking for someone else. They're not serious, I'm sure  of it."

"Because she still loves Scott, doesn't she?"

"Yeah..."

Hope's phone is ringing. She received a message from Scott that says to come ASAP.
