A Surprise Visit

Hey guys my name is Amelia Severide, I am the little sister (by 2 years) of Squad 3 Lieutenant at Firehouse 51, Kelly Severide, and I am a Firefighter with Engine 51 under Lieutenant Christopher Herrmann. Before I became a Firefighter, I was an actress, singer, and dancer for the show 'Glee' where I portrayed 'Gianna Hummel' for seasons 1-3. After season three of 'Glee', I left the show and got a part on 'Teen Wolf' to portray 'Selena McCall' for a season or two.

When I first arrived on the set of 'Teen Wolf', I was immediately greeted by all of my cast mates that I will be working with, but one caught my eye his name...Dylan O' Brian. Jeff Davis directed me to my trailer, met all of the crew, makeup team, and so many more. A few days after I arrived on set, Dylan asked me if I wanted to go out with him for dinner, I agreed, we had a good time, and that night came to an end with him giving me a kiss to the cheek. A few weeks after that, we started growing closer together and eventually became a couple. Once my time on 'Teen Wolf' came to an end it was so sad that I had to leave this family and show, but Dylan promised me that no matter what or how far away we are from each other, we'd still be together no matter what.

After leaving the set, I flew back to Chicago and decided to take a break from the spotlight, paparazzi, and social media outlets. I surprised my brother at the Firehouse as soon as I got in to Chicago. We caught up on the past few years (although I didn't tell anyone about Dylan and I being a couple😉), turns out he got married to one of his coworkers, who they've had this on-off relationship going on for years. I decided to go into the fire academy and become a firefighter, which yes it is dangerous, but I've always wanted to be like my dad and brother. After a few weeks of learning and training, I finally graduated from the fire academy and I got a job at Firehouse 51 one Engine 51 under Lieutenant Christopher Herrmann. As for Dylan and I, we are still together and we always keep in touch one way or another and at times he'd spend some time with me in Chicago.

One day while I'm shift, it was a slow day at the Firehouse at least that's what we thought, until all of the units got called to a building fire. Everything was going smoothly, until something collapsed and trapped my brother knocking him out for about five minutes. I almost went to help him, but my Lieutenant ordered me to stay focused and continue putting out the flames. Once we got out of the building, I hugged my brother so tight to reassure myself that he is still alive and okay.

After that incident, the rest of shift was easy with no calls. The next morning I woke up to take a shower before third shift comes. Although unknown to me that I would be seeing someone that I have not seen in a long time.

I walking outside of the Firehouse with Violet (one of the Paramedics on Ambo 61), Ritter (works with me on Engine), and Gallo (works on Truck 81), when I saw a very familiar face that I have not seen in ages...Dylan. I froze in place with my mouth slightly open and in shock. He was standing on the driver side of my car, as if we were recreating the final scene of 'The First Time'.

Gallo: Amelia, you alright?
Violet: Gee, does she look aright Gallo? <gives him a sarcastic look>
Ritter: Should we get Severide?

I giggled like a teenage girl, I started running towards him.

All (Violet, Gallo, and Ritter): AMELI...!!

I ignored them calling my name and kept running to him. He came around to the passenger side to wait for me, I dropped my bag, pushed him against my car, and started to kiss him like there was no tomorrow. It literally felt like we were remaking the scene of 'The First Time'. Violet, Ritter, and Gallo stopped midway of calling my name when they saw me kiss him.

Amelia: When did you get here? <she says flirtatiously>
Dylan: About an hour ago, I wanted to surprise you.
Amelia: Well, consider me surprised and speaking of surprises <she leans in to whisper into his ear> I've got a surprise for you too at home. <she says flirtatiously and with a smirk>
Dylan: Well, let's head home then babe.
Amelia: As you wish my love.

We drove off to my house, arrived, and immediately had the best two hours filled with passion. After our little fun time, we're both under the covers, without apperal, and looking deep into each other's eyes in silence, until he broke it.

Dylan: You know how much I love you, right babe?
Amelia: Of course I do and I love you too.
Dylan: Well, maybe we can change all that.
Amelia: <furrows her eyebrows in confusion> What do you mean?
Dylan: <leans over on his side to reach for something in a drawer, grabs something, supports himself on his knees, and opens a ring box to reveal a silver diamond engagement ring> Amelia, you are an amazing woman, ever since we first met, I felt a spark ignite inside me and it turned out that spark was you so, Amelia Severide, will you marry me?
Amelia: <cups her mouth with her hands in shock and happiness> Yess!!!

After I gave him my answer, he slipped the ring on my left ring finger, and we kissed, which led us to having round 2 in bed.

After that day, I finally told my mother, brother, and my firehouse family the truth about dating Dylan, most of them were either in shock or happy that I finally found someone and am gonna get married.

Six months after our engagement, we decided to have the wedding at the Firefighters church, we invited the cast from 'Glee' and 'Teen Wolf' to the wedding. For this wedding , I wanted to do something different, but also surprise my family and Dylan as well. I asked my cast mates from 'Glee' if they can help me out with my surprise and they agreed. On the day of the wedding, I got ready at our house in Chicago along with my bridesmaids while Dylan got ready at my brother's loft. After arriving at the Church, we all got ready to walk down the aisle. My bridesmaids walked down the aisle first, next was my (what I'd call) my Gleemates to do the surprise.

After the surprise, I finally took my place at the alter and grabbed Dylan's hands. The priest went on with the ceremony, we finally said our vows and our 'I Dos', and finally became husband and wife after so long of dating.

After a year of marriage, I got pregnant and nine months later our beautiful baby boy was born into this world known as Scott O' Brian
