Valda woke up before the sun was up. Usually she would have been exhausted and went back to sleep, but considering she had now been on the helicarrier for a week and training with Natasha, or as she had also learned was called Black Widow, she had become used to it. She quickly walked over to the dresser and changed into an identical suit to the ones she had been wearing ever since she had started to train before going to the bathroom to finish getting ready. Once she was finished she walked out of her room and through the halls, still occasionally stopping to ask for directions after taking a few wrong turns, before getting to the training room where Natasha was waiting for her.

"So what are you teaching me today?" Valda asked curiously. "How to use judo to defend myself? Karate? Tae Kwon Do?"

"No." Natasha replied calmly as she watched the sixteen year old perform some basic martial arts moves. "Today the others want us in the lab, they're getting closer to finding Sybil."

The news made Valda freeze and stand up straight in shock and excitement. "You've almost found her? Where? Can you save her? Please say you can, I'll be so bored if I lose her!"

"I said they almost found her." She replied with slight irritation. "Now if you want to come you're going to have to control yourself."

Valda stopped talking and stood up straight immediately, a serious look coming onto her face. "I'm controlling myself. Can we go to the lab now?"

"Yes, yes, follow me." Nat sighed before walking towards the lab where Bruce and Tony were continuing to find the exact location of the missing girl.

The halls were crowded with S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, new recruits had just been brought in and they were all getting a tour before heading off to their future stations as assassins, spies, scientists, field agents, etc. The older agents showing them around nodded in greeting to her before calling their group to move on. Usually people might worry about letting so many people into a highly classified organization but S.H.I.E.L.D. had monitored these people as potential candidates for months before giving them background checks and tests to see if they were qualified enough to join. Then and only then were they approached and brought into S.H.I.E.L.D. life.

Tony Stark looked over at the two as they came in and leaned on the counter with a knowing look. "Don't tell me, you came to see the location."

"Very good Stark." Natasha rolled her eyes. "Now tell me where that location is."

"South America." Bruce replied, not looking up from a hologram that he was controlling by his tablet. "The signal is a bit fuzzy from there, like it's being blocked, but we're starting to cross off a few places."

"How long until you can save her?" Valda asked as she observed the information going across the hologram screens.

Bruce ran a hand through his hair with a tired expression. "Perhaps a week? If the data continues going through like it is."

"No." Tony argued as he came over. "Give me two days, four at most, Jarvis can work through the data faster than S.H.I.E.L.D.'s tech once I boot him up here."

Natasha glared at him. "So you can let him go through all our files again?"

"No... not unless I have time left over."

"Tony Stark." She snarled and stalked up to him. "Stay out of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s confidential files or I will have you thrown out of here so fast you're reactor will short circuit!"

Valda watched the two bicker with wide eyes, sure they had fought in front of her since she woke up but it still surprised her how violent Natasha could be when threatening the others.

"I would give it a week." Bruce repeated to her as he stood beside the girl.

Valda nodded; hope growing inside her as she realized getting Sybil back was finally approaching. "I hope so... if Loki is as bad as everyone has been saying then I'm worried what condition she'll be in..."

"That's only natural, but we will get her back unharmed, or help her if she is, until she's back to the best friend you had before this happened. You'll be back home and safe in no time."

"People keep telling me that yet this is all you can do about it." Valda shot a sharp glace at the lab around them before looking at the ground and sighing. "I know it's all you can do at the moment but it doesn't feel like anything is helping to find her... its just so slow going."

"Well soon we'll see some action." Bruce looked down as his tablet beeped again. "Somewhere near the Amazon..."

Valda nodded despite the fact none of them were paying attention to her anymore and walked over to the door, she needed time to think, time to take in what they had told her. "I'll um... I'll be at the gym... if any of you care..."

Of course none of them paid her any attention as Bruce started messing with the computer and Tony dragging himself away from his spat with Natasha to help him. At least no one would bother her while she was thinking things through.
