The search began.

Richie looked everywhere he could think of, even if it meant putting himself in danger. It was obvious he missed Eddie. The Losers hadn't heard from him in weeks. Yes, weeks. He spent all the time he could looking for this boy, the boy that probably doesn't even love him back. Richie didn't care one bit how long it would take. He would waste his whole life if he had to.

Suddenly, Richie's search came to a stop. It was the start of June and that meant it was the summer holidays. At first he thought it meant he was going to be able to look for Eddie even more then before, but of course his parents had to put a stop to it.

It was the first day of the holidays, Richie just got out of the shower and was getting dressed. After he finished upstairs, he slowly made his way downstairs. As always he was cautious of his Father.

As Richie got to the bottom step, he was met with his Mother. "Goodmorning Mom." Richie greeted her, trying to smile. "Goodmorning Richie." She said tilting her head slightly, indicating his Father was in the living room. Richie nodded and walked past her as she walked upstairs.

He tried to avoid even looking the way of his Father, but that was impossible. "Richie!" Wentworth yelled out. Richie quietly sighed and turned around slowly. "Yes sir?" He asked.

"I don't want you going out today." He picked up his newspaper and started reading it while sitting down on the couch. "Why?" Richie asked confused. "You've been giving us a bad name Son." Wentworth lowered the newspaper, still holding it and sighed. "People have been reporting to me that they have seen you climbing and being in places where you shouldn't be!" Richie looked down and his feet, not wanted to make eye contact any further.

"It is for your own good that you don't go out this summer." Wentforth stated making Richie's head shoot right up. "What!?" Richie slightly yelled, regretting it straight after.

Wentworth put down the newspaper and slowly stood up. He had an angry ogre looking face. He slowly walked towards Richie, every step he made creaked.

"Are you talking back?" Wentworth asked standing right infront of Richie. Richie gulp as he knew what was coming. "No sir." Richie answered quietly. There was a gap of silence. Richie thought he may have been off the hook, but then he felt a sharp punch right to his jaw. "Agh!" Richie yelled out as he almost fell onto the floor.

"That's for being a fucking brat." Wentworth stated and grabbed Richie by the shirt. They locked eyes for a second. Wentworth dropped his shirt, making Richie fall to the ground. He walked back to the couch and started reading his newspaper while lighting a new cigarette.

Richie struggled to get off the floor but eventually got up on his two feet. He slowly walked up the stairs, hugging the wall. His room was right across from the bathroom. Has he was about to walk into his bedroom, he turned around to meet eyes with his Mother. Maggie didn't say anything, she never did. Instead of asking if he was okay, or trying to help him, she just rolled her eyes and continued with whatever she was doing.

Richie turned back around and walked into his room, closing the door behind him, making sure not to shut it loudly.

As he shut the door, he faced the other way and slowly slid down the door, leaving him sat on the floor. He then brought his legs up to his chest, so he was sitting in a ball shape. Richie rested his head on his knees and sighed. Eventually he fell asleep like that.

Three hours later, Richie woke up laying on the floor. He was awoken with an aggressive shake. "Wake up Richie!" He heard a voice say. As he rubbed his eyes and opened them, he was met with Beverly and Bill. Beverly was still shaking him so she grabbed her arms to make her stop.

"Good you're awake!" She got off him and smiled. "W-We we-re worri-ed about y-you." Bill said quickly. "Aww you guys were worried about me?" Richie said in a baby voice. Beverly kicked him in the side softly, "Seriously dude, your face is all messed up." That's when Richie remembered what had happened. "Wait how did you guys get in here?" Richie asked as Bill pointed to the open window, which received a nod from Richie.

Richie slowly stood up and smiled at them, smiling hurt though. Alot.

Beverly put her two hands on his face and inspected it. "Explain." She stated. "What?" Richie asked. "You know damn well what I mean." Richie did know what she meant. He looked into the dusty mirror, to see the damage. His face was all bloody and had cuts he didn't remember getting. He also somehow got a blackeye, now that he was sure he hadn't had before.

"I just fell." Richie lied to them. Bill and Beverly both looked at each other, both knowing he was lying. They also both thought they knew the answer, "So Bowers did this to you?" Beverly asked, thinking that was the answer. Richie thought about it for a second and decided to go with that idea. "Yep. You caught me Bev." Richie put his hands up. "I s-swear to g-god I a-am g-going to kill h-him one day." Bill said quickly and looked up at the roof like it was his dialogue moment.

"Anyways y'all wanna do something?" Richie asked in a southern accent. "S-Sorry I t-totally wo-ould b-but my d-dad is mak-king me ha-ang out w-with him." Bill said. "That's alright Billiam, have fun with your daddy." Richie winked at him. None of the Losers would go against any family situations with Bill. Ever since George passed away, they haven't been the same. Plus it makes sense why Bill's Father would want to have some bonding time with his, now only, son.

As Bill started to climb out the window, Richie turned to Beverly. "What about you Bevvy?" He asked her. "Yeah sure, just gotta be home before dark. You know how my dad is." Beverly answered. "Coolios!" Richie tried smiling but it hurt even more. "Okay first, let's get you fixed up." She said making Richie sit on his bed.

After hours of talking and catching up, Beverly finally brought up Eddie. "So, how are you feeling about Eddie?" She asked him. They were both sitting crossed legged on Richie's bed, facing each other. Richie's eyes had widened at the question. "What about him?" Richie asked, already knowing the answer.

"C'mon Richie." Beverly said. "Ughh." Richie uncrossed his legs. "I miss him Bev." He said closing his eyes and leaning back on his pillows. "I know sweetie." She said rubbing his leg to comfort him. "No, I mean I miss him a lot." There was a gap of silence, "Life isn't the same without him.." Richie let out quietly receiving a hug from Beverly. They cuddled for about thirty minutes and then Beverly looked at the alarm clock next to Richie's bed.

She got off of Richie and said "Shit I've got to go." Beverly then got off the bed and walked over to the window. "We'll find him, okay?" She said before climbing out, receiving a "Okay." from Richie.
