Stanley was in his room, silent tears were running down his face. He was sitting curled up into a ball, next to his bed. His floor was carpet which meant it wasn't really uncomfortable, obviously not the best but he didn't mind it. "W-Why would he do that..?" Stanley asked himself. "N-No. No! Bill would never!" He shook his head in misery and disbelief.
Hours later, Stanley received a knock at his front door. He stayed in his room and assumed it was for his parents. Stanley's Father opened the door and let whoever it was inside. Stan was annoyed that they had company over, but didn't complain outloud, as he did not want to disturb his Father.
After a few minutes of faint talking, small footsteps are heard from the stairs. They were too quiet to be any of his parents, so Stanley braced himself for who may talk to him. He was not in the condition to be social at the moment, especially to an adult.
Lucky for him, it was no one close to an adult. Instead, it was Beverly Marsh.
Even though Beverly could be chaotic and rude at times, she was always caring and loving when she needed to be. All the Losers agree that she is very understanding, and that you could tell her anything and she wouldn't judge. She was about the only person Richie Tozier would open up to.
As Beverly carefully walked into Stanley's room, shutting the door behind her, Stanley's face dropped. Not in a 'why her' type of way, but in a 'now I'm gonna have to talk' type of way. Beverly always knew how to get the boys to talk. Whether it was out of guilt, revenge or love, it never mattered, she did it. Which is exactly why Stanley refused to talk, that tactic didn't last long though.
"C'mon Stan," Beverly was sitting cross-legged on Stanley's bed, next to him. They were face to face. "Talk to be sweetie." Stanley stared into Beverlys gorgeous eyes and sighed. He closed his eyes for a long blink then reopened them, letting out another long breath. "It's Bill." He finally let out.
"I know that doofus." Beverly smiled at him, Stanley kept a straight face. "What about Bill?" She asked, curiously. "I-I.." Stanley struggled putting the words together. He never thought that he would ever have to say something along the lines of this. "I saw him cheat.. on me." Tears started to form in Stanley's eyes. He was sure he had none left, but apparently there was plenty to spare.
Beverly let out a quite gasp and went silent for a few seconds. She looked at the clean bedsheets she was sitting on, then back at Stanley's dead eyes. It was obvious he loved Bill more then anything, she couldn't let this happen.
"What exactly did you see Stanney?" Beverly asked with a straight face. "W-Well.." Stanley began ranting and ranting, he couldn't stop talking. All the stress and tiredness was compacted into his poor body, it needed to come out one way or another. Finally venting to someone seemed to do the job.
As Stanley continued talking on and on, Beverly struggled putting the pieces together. From Stanley's point of view it was a clear view of Bill and Richie cuddling and kissing, but there was no way either Bill or Richie would do such a thing. Nothing made sense. There were only two conclusions, one; it was all a big misunderstanding and Stanley's eyes weren't working, or two; what he is saying is true. Beverly was hoping with all she could that it wasn't number two.
"I'm going to speak to them Hun, don't worry." Beverly smiled at the boy, receiving a forced smirk back. "I know for a fact it's all a kiss understanding!" She lied.
On her walk back to Bill's house, she tried her best to put the puzzle pieces together. She finally found a reasonable conclusion, whether it was right was up to luck.
Back at Bill's house, Bill, Richie and Ben were watching movies together. Mike sadly had to return to the farm, hoping that he wouldn't have to kill any animals, he tried to take as long as he could to get there. Unlucky for him, the animals to be dead were still alive, and he knew what that meant.
